Klaus chose to seclude himself, stay away. Never in his life did he ever feel so—guilty for taking a life... And it wasn't necessarily for himself.. if Hope hadn't shown up... he would be relishing in revenge. But the look on her face... the fear on her face.. She was horrified. That image of her father, a murderer, a monster, it is now engraved into her mind. She will never look at him as she once did... And since Jackson's death, Hope has not made one attempt to reach out to him. Which only made Klaus feel worse.. Was his daughter ever going to speak with him again?

It has been over a year since Elijah last spoke with Klaus. Over a year since Klaus let anyone speak with him. Last he knew from his brother, was that Hayley and Hope were no longer in New York. And if Klaus were to ever try to harm Hayley, Elijah would become his most fatal enemy. Which was only possible because Klaus chose not to dagger him again. Elijah was still walking because, as much as Klaus refused to verbally admit it to anyone, he was grateful to have his brother undaggered. Had Elijah still been daggered when Klaus found Hayley and Jackson... Hope would have likely seen her father kill her mother as well... And to that, she would never forgive him.... If she could even forgive him now...

Klaus stood at the railing of the deck to his house. His lonely house secluded in trees, and the perfect view point of the moon and the stars. He looked up into the sky as he continued to worry about his relation with Hope. Would he ever be able to win her back...? Then his thinking was abruptly interrupted, when the daily ringing of his sister, Rebekah, trying to call him. Again. Every day she kept at it, and she left a voicemail, and everyday Klaus ignored it. She was just going to find a way to defend him for killing Jackson... Just before Klaus could put his phone back in his pocket, it rang again. This time, Freya's name was on the screen.

Someone from behind him suggested, "Maybe you should answer it." Klaus looked stood still at the railing, refusing to turn around. Before he could spew out reasons why not to, the voice continued, "You've been ignoring your family for over a year now, Klaus. I'm sure they're worried about you..."

Klaus walked away at a quick, annoyed pace, "Well they can keep worrying." The voice that spoke to him belonged to Latvia. She watched him pace off and sighed. He's always been so stubborn, but what he doesn't realize, being with his family might be what he needs. Not putting himself through an endless torture... A torture he only came back to self-induce...

Klaus returned, but he was without his daughter... and he looked conflicted. Broken. Latvia held concern for him... wanted to help him, but not in the way he sought...

For his duaghter, Klaus needed to make himself pay... The hybrid walked away from the small cabin, long standing for hundreds of years, and the home he stayed in when he chose to retreat to the town, and he walked down to the back. The hybrid tossed open a door to a cellar beneath the house. "I am ready."

The person inside was Latvia. She walked out of the dark corner, with multiple items she had prepared according to Klaus' wishes for a spell. "Are you sure...?" Latvia asked with hesitation in her voice. "The last time you were here, before being here with your sister, you told me that this was the worst thing that ever happened to you...?"

Klaus stepped closer to her, "I deserve this, Latvia. To suffer... I killed someone in front of my daughter... someone she cared about..." He looked her in the eye, a glossiness appearing in his. Pain. He repeated, "I deserve to suffer." He handed Latvia a white stone, and they walked back up the cellar stairs. Klaus walked into a circle of salt with a large stone as a table in the middle, and two bowls on it. Latvia walked to the other side of the table. She took Klaus' hand, dipping it into the bowl, filled with vervain and wolfsbane. Klaus clenched his teeth from the pain. Then, Latvia set the small white stone Klaus gave her into a bowl of fire. As the stone ignited, the circle around them did so as well.

Latvia then pulled the stone out with tongs. It was now a searing red color. She looked into Klaus' eyes, and he gave her one last nod of assurance. "With this moonstone, you will no longer be bound to the moon.—You will become bound to the sun." She continued, "No longer will you be able to change form to that of a wolf—as the wolf inside of you will become dormant, and bound to this stone," she lifted the moonstone up towards Klaus' face, and then pressed it against his forehead, grimacing at the steam coming from his head. He was extremely tolerant of the pain, but he groaned.

The stone was held against his head for a straight minute, but it felt like hours to both Latvia and Klaus. When the witch finally pulled the stone away, Klaus let out a loud scream that echoed across the woods, and he backed away, then sighed with relief as the pain went away. He looked at his hands as they felt uncomfortably different. He looked at Latvia, her heart beating with an unrecognizable rhythm, not from her emotion, but from Klaus' change. He also felt hungrier for blood than he had before... Like being a hybrid some how subsided his hunger, but as a just vampire, it was all he could think about. He looked at Latvia, his vampiric eyes revealing themselves. No longer were they a threatening yellow. They were a dominating red and black. He couldn't focus, he felt like his body was unrecognizable, even though he lived as simply a vampire for 1,000 years. He was no longer complete. But this is what he deserves...

"Are you alright?" Latvia stepped over to the hybrid.

"No," He stated, then looked up at Latvia, "But that's the point." He finished with Latvia looking at him, the witch feeling terrible. He asked her to do it, but she still didn't like binding him... the way he described it to the village, taught it, it was one of the worst fates that could fall upon a werewolf. And so, the people of this village always encouraged the triggering of the werewolf curse, the practice of being in wolf form. The witches supported this with the creation of moonlight rings.

"You will be forgiven, Niklaus," Latvia said as he walked off, but even with his vampiric hearing... he didn't seem to hear. He blocked it out. But Latvia continued anyway with a quieter tone to her voice, "But that begins with forgiving yourself."

Caroline Forbes:  (Faint breathing) You didn't answer my calls... nor have you answered any from your family in ages.. I wouldn't suspect you're listening now, but I really pray that you are. (Pause in thought) Hope needs you, Klaus. She needs her father. Please. Come back to Mystic Falls. (Line cuts off).
