[The next.... rare disease]

Annabeth looked down slightly in guilt, so I hugged her tight, hoping to silently convey that it was fine.

[Nobody mentioned... the process]

"Of course he wasn't," Thalia muttered, scowling.

["You're going... a plan..."]

"What's her problem?" Leo asked.

"There's this thing called tact, Leo," Piper said.

"It'll be explained in about a chapter, if I'm not mistaken," I said, not wanting Annabeth to feel worse.

[Even Clarisse... be ignored]

"You should've said something Prissy," Clarisse said, with a smirk.

"Eh, I wasn't that desperate," I retorted.

[I knew somebody.... myself miserably]

"Who would do such a thing?" my mom asked.

"It doesn't matter mom," I told her.

[That night... over a toy]

"Give what back?" Paul asked, highly confused.

"You'll find out really soon," I told him.

[The waves... Come down!]

A few people turned to look at Hades.

"It's not me!!" Hades exclaimed in protest, Nico nodding at his defense.

[The sand... the threshold]

"Why didn't you use your hand?" I whispered to Grover.

"I was nervous," he whispered back, blushing slightly.

["Come in?"... their verdict]

"Oh please, if we wanted to kill you, we wouldn't need a messenger," Hera sniffed.

"Not that I would allow my son to be killed," my dad said warningly.

[Over Long Island Sound... little celebrity."]

"OK, Snape," Frank muttered, causing those to get the reference to chuckle.

"What was that, Francis?" Mr. D asked, frightfully calm.

"Nothing," Frank gulped out.

[I waited... from harm."]

"You wouldn't dare," my dad said.

"Oh, please. As you can see, he's perfectly fine," Mr. D said with a roll of his eyes.

["Spontaneous combustion... your father."]

"And I would just change him back," my dad stated firmly. I smiled at how protective my dad is, knowing I'm one of the lucky ones.

Mr. D just rolled his eyes, with a mumble of "so dramatic."

["Mr. D.... lingering behind]

"Does every god leave behind a scent? Leo asked.

"From what I've noticed, yes," I answered.

[Chiron smiled... like lying]

"I'm glad you were honest, Percy," Chiron said.

"Thanks, Chiron," I replied.

["It scared me.... the details."]

"It always is," Chiron muttered to himself.

[Thunder rumbled... aren't they?"]
