["One on... saddle soap]

"And I am suddenly glad Blackjack isn't here," I stated, while those that have met my horse friend started laughing

"Why?" Apollo asked.

"I said Luke's steed was a mare. Blackjack's a boy," I explained.

"Maybe it was a different pegasus?" Mom suggested.

"Nope. The reason Blackjack insists on calling me 'boss' is because he credits me for saving him," I said.

["Sir!"... sword-fighting]

"I appreciate your confidence in me, but I was barely healed from the fleece," Annabeth pointed out.

"You still would've figured something out for escape," I told her.

"Maybe, but I also wasn't about to leave without you."

["I'll kill... this party."]

"Man, if only you could have waited like a week," I told Luke.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"That surprise Tyson mentioned a few chapters back? It turned out to be a shield," I said.

"Do you still have it?" Paul asked.

"No, I unfortunately lost it," I replied, sadly.

"It's alright brother! I made you a new one!" Tyson said happily. *

"And I love it, big guy" I told him.

[The shield... of practice."]

"Yeah, I need to figure out a way to practice during the school year," I said.

"Are monster attacks not enough?" Rachel asked.

"Not at all. I can't rely on just my reflexes, I have to keep my stamina up as well. Otherwise, I risk injury and exhaustion," I said.

Apollo and Will gave me approving looks.

"Mr. Jackson, you can always come to camp during the weekends to train, or we could find a way to get you a training dummy," Chiron said.

"Or he can spar with me," Annabeth said.

"Weren't you and your dad planning on going to Boston?" I asked.

"Well, yes. We are hoping to, but we can still spar when I'm in New York," she stated.

[He came... feet again]

"He does have good reflexes," Jason said begrudgingly.

"I trained since I was 14. What else would you expect?" Luke asked, raising an eyebrow.

[I attacked... Bon appetit."]

Athena and Dionysus turned to glare at Luke.

["He-he! He-he!"... Miami Bay]

"Who threw the arrow?" Leo asked.

"That would have been me, Mr. Valdez," Chiron said.

"So Chiron's the reason Blackjack got freed," Piper said.

"Yep. I really had nothing to do with it, yet Blackjack insists on crediting me with his escape," I said with a chuckle.

[For a... either side]

"They sound... awesome!" Leo shouted.

"You mean chaotic," Jason said.

"Is that not the same thing?" Leo asked.
