["Percy, wake... acting funny."]

"How so?" Mom asked.

"It was like they suddenly got sick," Annabeth explained.

"It's the pollution," Dad sighed. "With so much human pollution around, my creatures get sick in the highly populated areas. The Naiads aren't as affected, but the animals..." he trailed off, but everyone got his point.

"If only my dad could hear these books," Rachel said sadly.

"Yeah, good luck getting him to change," I scoffed.

"Don't I know it," Rachel said.

[Sure enough... said good-bye]

"Aww, such a sweetheart," half of the females in the room plus Will cooed, causing Tyson to blush.

"When do you see him again?" Thalia demanded.

"Not for a couple years after this. Tyson might've seen him sooner than I did though," I said.

[Once the... the pocket]

"Do other magical pelts turn into various coats?" Thalia wondered aloud.

"You're in the Hunt. Don't you literally hunt monsters?" I asked.

"Yeah. But most of them don't have pelts like the Nemean Lion," she said.

"Touche."

[Annabeth ran... back tonight."]

"How could I forget about that!?" Jason cried.

"A lot has happened since we last read about my tree, Jace," Thalia reminded him.

"I guess so," Jason said.

[Clarisse slumped... look bad?]

"And yet you still hijack our quest," Thalia said.

"Would you believe that there were extenuating circumstances?" I asked.

"You mean like saving Annabeth?" she retorted.

"Well.... yeah," I said. "But that wasn't my only reason."

"And what, pray tell, was the other reason?" Thalia asked.

"He made a promise to me," Nico interjected.

[I thought... home alone."]

"Yikes," Leo said.

"What does that mean?" Rachel asked.

"Prissy figures it out surprisingly quick," Clarisse said.

"Only because most of the quest was finished," I said.

["Ouch,"... hundred dollars]

The Hermes kids whistled appreciatively.

"You guys got lucky," Leo said.

"Don't I know it," I said.

[I ran... back safely."]

"How'd you figure it out so quickly?" Apollo asked me.

"Again, the majority of the quest was finished," I stated.

[I could... its way]

"And just in time too," Grover said.

"What does that mean?" Mom asked.

"That we ran into... unexpected trouble," I said.

["Percy,"... my throat]

"What?" my parents asked.

"You'll see," I said with a sigh.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Luke shrink into his seat.

[Hey, cuz,"... of course."]

"Some hospitality," Grover grumbled.

[The bear... old friend!"]

"Agreed," Thalia said.

["Maybe you... Airport, fast!"]

"You have a pegasus?" Hazel asked, surprised.

"Had. I had a pegasus," Luke corrected.

I smirked, thinking of my faithful steed.

["But boss-"... an idea]

"I have to admit, it was a clever idea," Luke said.

"Thanks," I told him.

"It is sad that I fell for it though," he added.

["You've been... uncapped Riptide]

"Well, you definitely got everyone's attention," Annabeth said.

"Yeah. I thought you suddenly had an urge to fight Luke," Grover agreed.

"Not that I would've put past him," Annabeth added.

"True," Grover said.

"I'm right here," I told them.

"We know," they said in unison.

"My girlfriend and best friend everyone," I said feigning offence.

[Luke just... the guts."]

Most of the other demigods gasped while Chiron pursed his lips.

"Bro, you didn't" Travis said.

"Dude, not cool," Connor said.

"I must say, Mr. Castellan, I do not take kindly to being called an 'old fool'," Chrion said.

"I know sir. I'm sorry sir," Luke said bowing his head.

["You call... a little."]

"Unfortunately," I mumbled.

Annabeth heard me and nodded in agreement.

[And so... watching us]

"I have to say, that just might have been the most entertaining dinner ever," Connor said, and the rest of the demigods who were there that summer nodded in agreement.

["Well,"... into cheering]

Much like most of the occupants in the throne room were doing.

"Good riddance," Dad said.

[Luke bellowed... be replaced."]

"So you were planning on the fleece healing me," Thalia said.

"More like hoping," Luke said.

[I wasn't... boat alive."]

My parents turned to stare at Luke, who shrunk more in his seat.

"Dude, your mom is scary," Luke said.

"Just my mom?" I asked, shocked.

"Obviously Poseidon is, he's a god, so yes," he said.

"I wouldn't count Paul out. He may seem laid back, but he's got secrets," I told him.

"That was the end of the chapter by the way," Rachel said. "Who's next?"

"You know what, I'll just go," Luke said.

[The Party Ponies Invade]

Chiron shook his head in fond exasperation at his brethren.

A/N: Here's the next chapter!! Sorry for any confusion. As I mentioned in my last author's note, I'm now going to be adding the character who's reading in the chapter title, and when I got to this one I was a rhythm, so I accidentally published the chapter when I had barely begun. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!
