The Olympians Read The Books

Break #9

After leaving the throne room, I took Tyson to meet Leo. After about 15 minutes, we found him.

"Hey, Leo. Have you met Tyson?" I asked.

"Only for a minute or two," he told me.

"Big guy, did you still want to show Leo how you made those javelins?" I asked, turning to Tyson.

"Oh, yes!! I would like to work with Fire Boy!" Tyson said.

"Sweet!!!" Leo said.

"Alright. Have fun, but try not to set anything on fire. Annabeth would have your heads if you do," I warned.

"I know. You have a scary girlfriend, Perce," Leo told me.

"I know, but that's why I love her," I said.

"Tyson, let's go before he gets all sappy," Leo said.

With that they headed off to wherever the forges of Olympus.

After a few hours it was time for dinner, and we all met at the dining hall from our various activities. Leo and Tyson came back from the forges covered in grease and soot.

"What happened?" I asked. "I said to not set anything on fire."

"Well, Tyson showed me how he made the javelins and then we got started working on another project, which may or may not have exploded. But don't worry, it was a small fire and we quickly put it out before it could grow," Leo said.

Before I could say anything, Mom came over. "Alright you two, go wash up before dinner. I don't know what you were up to, and I'm not sure I want to know, but you're filthy."

"Yes ma'am," Leo and Tyson said.

"I am honestly terrified to know what those two came up with," I told Mom.

"Me too, honey. Me too," she said with a slight chuckle.

"Come on, Mom. Let's get some dinner. I'm starving," I said, slinging an arm around her shoulders.

After dinner, the other demigods and I decided to hang out in the lounge by our rooms.

"So what do we think is in the next book?" Will asked.

"My theory is each book is about each of the quests I partake in, so I'm guessing the next book covers the winter after the summer we just read," I said. 

"Solid theory, but what about our quest?" Jason asked pointing to him, Leo, and Piper.

"I guess we'll find out," I said with a shrug.

"Do you think we'll read about our mini adventures between quests?" Annabeth asked.

"I don't know. We'll have to see," I told her.

"Oh, hey! I was hoping I could get your help planning a baby shower for my mom," I told the group.

Everyone agreed, and we started planning until it got quite late and we grew too tired.

After breakfast, we decided to start the next book. On the way into the throne room, I noticed Nico was falling behind.

"Hey, you going to be alright?" I asked after slowing my pace to match with his.

"I'm honestly not sure. I guess I'll have to be, if I want any sort of closure," he said.

"OK, if you're sure. Just remember that we can take breaks when you need to, and that we're here if you need us."

"Thanks Percy. Is it alright if I sit with you guys though?"

"If you'd like. You can sit wherever."

Once we got to the throne room, Hestia asked "Who'd like to start this one?"

"I'll go this time," Frank said.
