On her walk in the Nether, Selene hummed as she ventured to the flowery path when she saw a pair of black wings in her peripheral vision. She turned just in time to see him.

A smile appeared on her lips, standing on top of the cobblestone ledge, "Phil!" she called out to him with a grin, and the man turned.

He squinted his eyes and then smiled when he saw who it was. Jumping over the ledge, he free-fell in the nether before launching up and flying to her. Selene can't help but smile at the sight of her friend.

Soaring through the air he finally landed on the same platform as Selene. She smiled as he brushed his tunic off with invisible dust. "Phil."

The father looked at her with the same excitement, he chuckled and opened his arms. Selene rushed to him and wrapped her arms around him. He smiled widely and hugged him back and patted her head.

"It's been a long time, Selene." He said. She chuckled and pulled away, "It has. You have some white hairs on you now." She joked which made him laugh.

Selene could not explain the happiness she felt seeing one of her oldest friends. All the shock and upset she felt when she saw that blasted statue at Foolish's melted away at the sound of Phil's laugh.

She had heard the laugh multiple times in years but she had to admit, it would lift up her mood every time. It was the same with Karl's giggle. It was as if bringing back memories of her past, something she seemed to slowly have lost grasp in.

"Where have you been? Karl has hunted down three of my crows already asking me where the heck you have found yourself." He said as he motioned for them to walk.

Selene obliged, they walked up the stairs, passing magically alive flowers and grass in the nether. She laughed, "Karl is always the worrier." She said. Phil hummed but sent her a look, "I know he is but according to him, you weren't at your build. That is odd." He said knowingly.

The girl can't help but let out a chuckle, "It is peculiar but I met a friend and he invited me to see some of his builds." She said with a bright smile. Something Phil was quick to notice.

For the years he had known Selene, this was quite the happiness she showed in meeting new people. Granted she was always a welcoming person but she never really seemed this happy.

The kind of happiness that quirked up a genuine smile on her lips. Lighting up those eyes like a child in a candy shop. Or the kind where there was a kick in her step. This was entirely new.

"Selene-" "Oh shut it Phil. You know I don't fall anymore. It's quite sad when they, you know." she cut him off. Phil chuckled but shook his head, "I wasn't going to say that."

"Sure, you weren't." The two reached the portal and they looked at each other, "My crows will follow you to make sure you have reached Kinoko alright." Phil said.

This made Selene roll her eyes, "Of how old we are my friend. I do not need a chaperone." She said. Phil nodded, "Even though, it would bring this old man a good night's sleep to know you have returned to Kinoko."

"Oh alright, you old man. See you around." "See you around Selene."

And with that, the girl walked through the portal with one of Phil's crows on her shoulders. The moment they waved one last goodbye, Phil jumped off the platform once more, soaring to his and his friend's own portal to lead him back home.
