Selene didn't know what to expect, she didn't know what to think would have happened but what she never wanted to see happened. It was worse than when Tommy picked some flowers, it was worse than that.
What she saw in front of here was what broke her heart. She didn't expect that when she heard shouting and running that she would be pulled into trouble.
In her time of staying there (which wasn't that long), she had never been a part of any trouble that arose to anything that was happening around her. She barely even knew what was happening.
But at that moment she was just unknowingly pulled into it. Her garden, her loved and cherished garden was trampled and destroyed by the infamous Dream and Technoblade who were running away from the people that were hunting them down.
And like Tommy, they didn't know how important the garden was. So, they ran and jumped through it like it was nothing. But unbeknownst to them, it was more than flowers, it was more than decorations. And it broke Selene to pieces.
Seeing the petals on the grounds, and footprints that trampled the bushes and flowers, it was all destroyed. The lump in her throat escaped as a sob as the tears started to flow.
No one was around to see her or her destroyed garden. No one was a witness but her and it broke her more. She dropped to the ground and reached over to grab the rose that lay broken on the ground.
She held it to her chest and shook her head, "No..." she mumbled as she crawled and grabbed the flowers that lay limp in her hands. She was mourning quietly, not realizing that Karl had just arrived.
He had just heard what happened and wanted to check if Selene had to see anything to help his fiancé in catching Dream. But when he arrived, he never expected to see this.
His best friend sobbing at the souls of her lost lovers and now mourning once again. "Selene." He said making her cry more. "Karl... They're gone. Forever." She said as she looked back at him.
Karl's heart broke at the sight, "Selene I-" "I lost them again." She cut him off with more tears coming out of her eyes. He rushed to her and wrapped his arms around her. He cried with her as he felt her pain all over again.
Karl Jacobs was there with most of these lovers and he had felt all of this pain before and he hated every single part of it. He hated the feeling and seeing her hurt and crying her eyes out. It was painful to him as it was painful to her.
He just knew, from this day onwards, Selene will distance herself from people including him and he won't blame or hate her for it.
