Selene and Foolish decided on staying on the land. They didn't realize the time until the sun had started to set. The color of the sky started to change when Foolish placed the calcite on her roof.

She smiled at the sight of her house. Foolish was right, color was what it needed. He stopped and looked down at her, tilted his head, and chuckled, "You gotta stare at me or pass me some more calcite?" he asked.

She let out a scoff and shook her head amusedly. Throwing a sack of calcite to him, he caught it perfectly making him smirk at him. "Oh don't smirk at me. Just because you said you built this big pyramid with no help. That does not impress me." She said.

He raised an eyebrow at her, "Well that's because you haven't seen it for yourself." He said. She hummed and smirked at her, "Maybe."

Foolish laughed and shook his head, "You know what, let me finish your calcite roof and I'll show you." He said. Selene hummed and opened the birch door before looking back up at him, "Okay then Mr builder."

The two continued to work on her house. They would talk about her travels and how it was when she was still teaching Karl. Foolish also talked about his past build projects some he promised her that he would show her.

You see, Foolish took pride in his work, and having someone who was actually interested and knew what he was talking about was refreshing for him. He was drawn to Selene in a way that she was also a builder and can relate to him about the struggles of getting materials.

They bonded over their struggle in getting quartz in the nether or the lack of oak trees lately because of how much people get them for their builds but forget to plant in return. They bonded over using dirt as a blueprint rather than drawing it on a piece of paper where it could most likely be blown away by the wind.

They stayed at her plot of land, talking and building not realizing that the sky turned grey rather than its natural black night sky. They didn't realize that rain was coming until Foolish felt the first drops when he was finishing up the roof.

He popped his head on the last space that was to be covered by oak planks to catch Selene's attention. "It's raining." He said. And as he said it the rain started to pour.

He quickly patched up the roof and jumped down to the ground just in time for Selene to get out of the house. They looked up at the sky as the rain soaked them.

They stood there, basking in the sudden rain. Foolish looked at her and smiled. Such peace and contentment were what she radiated at the moment. Her eyes closed, a small smile on her lips, it was as if the world slowed.

The raindrops slowly dropped as they hit their heads, and slowly her smile grew, it brought a smile to his face. He didn't know what it was, he never believed in the slow-mo or love at all. He had been alone for so long, and he was never really looking for it. But it seems as though this arrived and was not part of his plan.

"Foolish?" Selene asked. He hummed and she chuckled, "You going to show me that pyramid now?" He shook his head to shake off the feeling. He smiled at her, offering a hand which she narrowed her eyes at, "Come on."

She pursed her lips but accepted the hand and the moment she did, Foolish pulled her close to him. With an arm around her waist, she felt her cheeks heat up despite the cold feeling of the rain. "Foolish." "You trust me?" he asked.

Selene gulped but nodded. He grinned, "Alright. Hold onto me." He said which made her furrow her eyebrows, "Wha-AHHHHH!" and in a second they were in the air using Foolish's trident and the rain for a quicker way to arrive in the nearest portal.

She felt her heart banging in her chest. Nerves and worry filled him. But when she stopped screaming, she looked at the view and then back at Foolish. Her heart relaxed but not that much, the feeling of his arm around her waist and the way he focused on not letting them crash was what made it skip faster than usual.

And Selene didn't know what it was, but she hated tridents but with Foolish, she didn't mind. Like what was said, she was drawn to genuine people and the time she spent with Foolish was enough to show her how genuine he was with her.
