You awoke earlier then you had hoped for, but didn't bother trying to fall back to sleep. You yawned and sat up in the bed of the hotel. You quickly noticed it wasn't as warm and cozy as under your blanket so you slipped into your slippers and put on a knitted sweater. You walked over to the window looking out. The sun wasn't quite up yet, that's when you noticed the noise from downstairs.

"That's weird" you said quietly, stepping away from the window sill. You walked back to the bed -not that it was a very long way, seeing as the room wasn't the biggest- and looked at the pocket watch on your night stand.

"Who on earth is up this early? Free willingly!" You sighed and quickly got dressed. Once you had brushed out the tangles in your hair from your sleep, you took the key from the table next to the door, and walked out of your room locking up and putting the key into your back pocket. The voices from downstairs got clearer but you weren't to focused on those, but more interested in the pictures hanging on the walls. Kev -the owner of the priest hole- had told you about the bombings and about some ship. You'd heard a lot about a children's home too, and had planned to go there today. If the weather would allow it.

"Oggie!" You heard Kev yell snapping you out of your trance allowing you to walk down the stairs.

"Morning Kev, morning Oggie" you said in a refreshing tone and sat down a few seats away from where the two men were playing cards. You assumed Kev had yelled because Oggie had beat him again, as they were just laying down new cards.

"Ah! Y/N lovely to see you" Kev said walking over to your seat. You smiled at him not wanting to say 'good morning' again as you would just be repeating yourself.

"What can i get you?" He asked in his usual friendly tone.

"Information!" You said slapping a map onto the table. He looked at you confused giving you a sign to continue speaking.

"Alright. So I've visited everything meaningful and important you and the others have told me to go see" you said looking at him while he was still confused on what you wanted.

"I feel a 'but' coming up" he said, at wich you grinned.

"Buuut. I still haven't visited that children's home  i've heard so much about!" You said eager to get to your question.

"You want to go there?" Kev asked looking at you strangely.

"Yes." You said already having made up your mind.

"If you could just point at the spot i will find it" you said excitedly. He pointed and you thanked him running up to pack a few things.

-mean while in the loop-

Miss peregrine someone yelled and the head mistress immediately put her book aside as two of her wards entered the room.

"Emma, Olive. Why the shouting?" She asked though not to bothered by it.

"Millard climbed up the tree" the blonde said out of breath.

"And he can't get down!" The redhead finished the sentence. The Ymbryne sighed and said as she walked with them;

"This is the third time. In a week!" She said getting a bit frustrated at the thought of her ward one day falling down the tall tree.

"When will he just let it be." She said more to herself then anyone in particular. The two girls who had gotten the headmistress were half running to keep up with her pace. Once they'd reached the tree mentioned Emma called

"Millard! Miss Peregrine is here now!" To which there came no immediate response.

"Millard?" The talk woman called out.

"Yes?" A scared little voice said. Phew he hadn't fallen down.

"Millard how far up are you?" She called out again now getting a quicker answer as her tone was stern.

"Just as far as last time" the boy sighed. The Ymbryne looked down sighing before taking off her heals and jacket, so she could climb up the tree with out getting injured herself.

"I'm coming now!... but only if you promise to at least ask before pulling such stunt again!" She added.

"...alright" the boy yelled down. Of course the woman knew the promise wouldn't be kept but she grabbed onto a brach and slowly but safely got to her ward.

"Now what did we learn from this?!" She asked the boy.

"Start with small portions?" He questioned more then answering.

"Good enough" the woman sighed before letting the boy onto her bag and climbing down to the steady ground.

"I'm starting to think you're only doing this for the ride down" she said looking at the boy sharply though smiling.
