After being in the loop for 5 days you had started settling in. At first you had felt very out of place. Miss Peregrine had also needed to rearrange things, so you had some tasks to do. That of course hadn't made it better. You had felt like you were more trouble then good but that feeling only occurred sometimes now. You had missed breakfast choosing to draw instead. Miss Peregrine had already sent both Emma and Olive to fetch you but when you snooped around the other day, you had found a key for all of the doors. You had found the one belonging to your room and... borrowed it. Not really intending to give it back.

*knock knock. You heard from the door.

"Olive... or Emma. I'm not coming down i'm not hungry! Geez.." you whispered the last word.

"You are well aware i heard that?" You heard the voice you had gotten so used to hearing say.

"Alma?" You asked, but no answer. She must've lost her patience with you, but you decided to not let it bother you and continued drawing. That is until you heard the key hole klick, making your head snap up.

"I-" you said. But when you started talking, you realised you didn't actually know what to say, so the two of you where just left looking at each other.

"What are you drawing?" She asked walking closer making you jump out of bed flipping your sketchbook over, making the page face downward.

"Nothing.. important" you scrambled with you words as she kept getting closer until standing right in front of you.

"We don't keep secrets in this household Y/N. Now why don't you let me see that" she said with a playful grin.

"Well- i- i'm not" you said still standing in front of the book growing fear full when realising she probably wouldn't let it go. You hadn't even noticed till now, but when you glanced behind her the door was still open. No you weren't gonna run, you were just being dramatic...though you REALLY didn't want her to see the image.

"You do know i have the authority" she said all while still smiling. Before even realising you had quickly turned around, grabbed your sketch book, and run out the door.

"Shoot!" You whisper yelled as you ran outside.
"Y/N!" She yelled after you making the others poke out their heads looking at you stumble out of the house. You jumped up the first tree in sight, though the others didn't see that.

"Shit!" You said once you were up. You ripped out the side of the sketch book you had done everything to avoid people from seeing ripping it into pieces.

"Y/N!" You heard Emma yelling followed by everyone else.

"Oh no, no, no!" You said crumbling up in the tree.

—30 minutes later—

Everything had quieted down once Alma had taken the children in for lunch, though you saw her burst out moments later again. You looked down but couldn't spot her until you heard a voice behind you.

"Y/N!" She scolded. You screamed and almost fell from your branch, only thing keeping you from it being the branch under your current one catching you when you fell.

"Oh my- Y/N! Are you alright dear?!" Alma asked concern plastered on her face.

"Yup" you said breathless. Once she had -somehow CARRIED- you down the tree she noticed the ripped page under it.

"I can't believe i missed that" she said almost scolding herself and picking up the now ruined page. You knew that she wouldn't be able to recognise the image, not even with her bird like vision. She sighed.

"You could've just said no" she said diverting her gase from the paper to you.

"NO?! To you!" You said louder then intended. Making both of your eyes widen.

"Did i do something wrong dear?" She asked. At first you thought she was joking, but upon further inspection of the woman's face you realised she was quite serious.

"Wha- No! I just... you're intimidating..." you said the last part quietly. Although you knew she would be able to hear you anyways.

"Well you've missed out on both lunch and breakfast! I will see you at supper." She instructed more than anything before turning.

"Intimidating!" You yelled after her, of course not being able to see the small grin on the woman's face.

After reset your drawing had also reconstructed itself, which Alma of course had known it would. Once she saw it she was shocked at what the image showed. You of course hadn't realised this and were shocked when Alma suddenly held it in front of you when every one else had been tucked in.

"Care to explain this?!" She said sharply. Her hand was shaking, just as you were.

"No! You weren't supposed to see that!" You got up from one of the comfortable chairs in the parlor, snatching the drawing from her hands and speed walking up the stairs, the woman being right behind you. You shut the door and locked it seconds before she could do something about.

"Ugh!" You heard her groan almost stomping of. Though not with the normally clicking of her heels. She must've taken them of. Moments later she had un-locked the door and she did not look happy with you!

"I just want to talk!" She whisper-shouted.

"I don't!" You hissed back.

"You are not getting around it" she said snatching. The page from you.

"Hey!" You raised your voice, but remembered the children and quickly lowered it again.

"Hey!" You said a bit more silenced.

"Y/N! Did you! Where you in an abusive relationship." She said sternly.

"I..." you said wanting to yell at her for calling you out.

"Get. Out!" You said sharply.

"I will certainly no-" you cut her of by yelling at her.

"GET OUT!" Tears filled your eyes while you pushed her out the door. Some of the children had woken up due to the yelling and banging of the door.

"Miss Peregrine?" Olive asked slowly approaching. She heard her headmistress sniff before turning to her and whipping away a tear.

"Yes dear?" She said trying to sound composed. Wishing she had not been right in her theory.

"I'll tuck in the once who are awake" the redhead just said shortly allowing her headmistress to turn and go to her room.
