"Now remember we will be back tomorrow at night time. Behave while miss crow is here!" Alma said with a stern tone, though you could see that she was clearly on edge with leaving the children alone with another Ymbryne.

"Don't worry miss P! We'll behave" Emma said. This didn't help much though. Claire ran over to the tall woman sobbing a little.

"Do you have to go?!" She asked hugging the woman's leg. Alma looked down and smiled softly kneeling down to hug the girl. She soon gestured for everyone to join in, which they did. You stood at the door awkwardly nit really knowing what to do with yourself.

"You too Y/N!" Alma said, and before you could shrug her off she grabbed you by the collar and pulled you into the middle of the hug. You felt the red creep up your cheeks. You could feel her breathing on the back of your neck, but then the hug resolved itself and the two of you waved goodbye to the children and Miss Crow, and walked out of the loop.

It took a while to get to the destination Alma had in mind, and of course the fact that you didn't know where she was taking you didn't help on you nerves. You hadn't exchanged a single word on the trip.

"Are you mad at me?" You suddenly asked making Alma snap out of some sort of trance.

"No of course not! I'm sorry i've just been thinking..." she said seeming to return to her thoughts. But you couldn't sit in this tense silence anymore.

"About what?" You spoke making her turn her head.

"Well" she said walking a bit slower so she was at your side.

"About you" she said when she was at your side. You quickly looked away trying to control your now unsteady breathing.

"Well about your peculiarity" she added spiking an interest in you which made you look back at her again.

"You're probably not an Ymbryne. Your punctuality is bad!" She said teasingly.

"But you do however have a feisty personality. So maybe something with fire. However Ymbryne doesn't stand completely out of the way! You are good with time. You just aren't very punctual" she said stroking her chin almost as if she was nervous.

"Ouch" you said making her laugh.

"I am very punctual, thank you very much!" You said fake offended.

"Feisty" she just said grinning at you.

"Ah! We're here." She said.

"... it's... an abandoned church" you said questioning the woman's sanity.

"It's a loop entrance!" She said laughing.

"Oh! Right, yeah." You said scratching the back of your head in an awkward manner. She took your hand and walked through the loop entrance. Everything immediately got brighter. And where there had been an abandoned church, there was now a perfectly stable and usable church.

"This way" Alma said and walked to a house nearby.

The house had a beautiful garden and moss all around since it was just outside the woods. Alma led you to the door, which had flowers growing on it. Alma knocked and straightened out her skirt. Just then an elderly woman came to the door and let you in.

"Alma deary. How delighted i am to see you again" said the woman happily hugging Alma. You were taken by surprise when she turned to you and said your name.

"So you are Y/N! I've so much about you" she said giving Alma a lopsided grin. You could've sworn pink crept up her neck.

"Y/N this is Miss cuckoo" Alma said gesturing towards the woman who gave you a polite smile.

"One of her wards is able to see others peculiarities. That's why we are here" she added and walked over to Miss cuckoo.

"If you would give us a second to disguss some important matters we will be right back" said miss cuckoo. You suddenly felt a bit scared since this was an unfamiliar house. Alma seemed to notice because her smile slowly started fading.

"Are you alright love?" She said taking a few steps towards you. There it was again! She said it again. Your eyes widened and you forgot to answer trying to contain your blush.

"Y/N?" She asked concern now written all over her face.

"Right- No- i i mean yes!" You said giving yourself a slap on the forehead, making her chuckle.

"Well if you're so sure" she said grinning and walked away into what seemed to be Miss Cuckoos office.

"Feel free to look around... love" she said the last part in a mock of Alma and you visibly blushed. She turned to the door and walked into her office closing the door behind her. You shook of you emotions and made your way around the house. You heard some children laughing and then a scream followed by crying. Your instincts kicked in and you ran towards the sound. You found a little girl looking much like Claire with a scratch on her leg.

"Hey sweetie" you said kneeling down to the girl. She seemed hesitant taking your help. Right that's probably how she was raised... hollows wights and everything.

"It's alright sweetheart. I'm miss... peregrine!" You lied, but it seemed to calm the girl hearing the bird name. She climbed into your arms and you walked to the kitchen.

"This is where mis p- i keep the bandages at home. Do you know if Miss Cuckoo does the sane?" You asked, and the girl nodded pointing her finger towards a cabinet in the back. You grabbed a couple of bandages and began wrapping them around the scratch as it was bleeding. The girl winced but you quickly gave her a reasuring look and took something out if your pocket.

"Here... i always fidget with this when i need a distraction" you said giving her a cube with a bunch of buttons. She took it and you kept wrapping the bandage.

"KATE!" You heard someone yell followed by the recognisable voice.

"Kate!" Alma yelled. The girl with the wound looked up.

"Are you Kate?" You asked her and she nodded. You finished wrapping her wound and picked her up going out to the hallway. The two of you giggled at the women's confusement.

"Over here!" You yelled and soon both Alma and Miss Cuckoo were walking towards you and Kate. You set down the girl who ran to her head mistress while Alma continued walking towards you.

"Is everything alright?" She asked.

"Yeah... Kate just fell so i wrapped up the wound. And yes i cleaned it up first" you said before she got the chance to ask. She chuckled and walked you back to Miss Cuckoo who had just set down Kate.

"Are you ready to meet Nox?" She asked and you assumed that was the ward who could tell peoples peculiarities. You looked to Alma who was smiling at you and then back at Miss Cuckoo.

"Yes!" You said and they led you to her office.
