Y/N POV

I stood in front of the mall. I had no idea what to do with myself as I waited for Ash. Him and I planned on shopping today a while ago and we both agreed that due to recent events we should shop more than ever.

"Hey!" a hand fell on my shoulder and I turned and smiled seeing just who I wanted to see. "Ash! About time! I was going to walk home" I lied. "Yeah, it was hard trying to get out of practice today" he admitted. "You're skipping practice?" I questioned. "I've done it before" he replied.

"And what happened?" I asked him. "Will only scolded me for three days after" he said with a grin. I laughed, "Okay, not bad. At least he isn't shouting at you through the phone" I said. "Is it too soon to make Charles jokes?" Ash asked me. "I honestly don't know" I admitted. "Charles jokes us between us now until we find ground with the others?" Ash suggested. I agreed.

We walked into the mall and was blasted with Christmas cheer. "Jeeze! It was Halloween like, not even a month ago!" I exclaimed. "It was like...10 days ago" Ash told me. "Yeah, November. Not Christmas" I said. "I mean, it is a good time to get Christmas gifts though with Black Friday coming up and all."

I gasped, "You're so right! Let's get the guy's Christmas gifts today!" I exclaimed. "I'm not opposed to the idea."

TIME SKIP

First shop. Claires. I have to get something for Wilbur in here. While I was debating whether to force Will to get his ears pierced so I can get him wiener dog earrings, Ash found the cutest thing in the world.

"Y/n" he said. I turned and looked at him and smiled. Nothing like and avocado Squishmellow to make me get happy. "What's it's name?" I asked Ash. "Austin the avocado boy" Ash replied. I smacked my hand over my mouth. "We have to get it" I said. Ash nodded in agreement.

Next store. Quilted Bear. I ran around the store, Ash's wrist in my hand. "Where are we going?" Ash asked me. "There's something not a lot of people know about this store" I said. We got to the back of the store and I smiled.

Two pedestals showed off hundreds of Lego figures. I immediately started to search for a grey cat and a yellow cat for Mark's Christmas gift.

"Some of these looks like-" "Knockoffs? Yeah, almost all of them are. But some are actual Lego. Like this guy" I said, finding the animal section and staring at a grey cat's bag number. "237" I whispered to myself. I kneeled down to the shelfs under the pedestals and slid open the one marked 237. I grabbed a tiny plastic bag with the grey cat figure in it.

"Ash?" "Yeah?" "Can you help me find a golden cat the resembles Beans?" I asked him. "Yeah" he replied, walking over to the pedestal I was at.

"Found it" he said, crouching down and grabbing a small plastic baggie that had the golden Lego cat in it. "Thank you, Ash! You're a life saver" I said, smiling at him. "Beans and Ernie?" he questioned pointing down to the grey Lego cat I had in my palm. "Yup!" I nodded.

While I kept analyzing the rest of the half knock off half real Lego figures, Ash disappeared. I saw a terrible cheap Ash Ketchum Lego figure and smirked. "Ash, look at-" I looked around and could see Ash anywhere.

I walked around the store. "Ash?" I called out for him. I turned the corner and found him. "Oh, what are you looking at?" I asked him.

He pointed to a box showing off different rings. "Oh. Those are pretty" I commented. He nodded. We stared at the box of rings for at least half a minute. Ash reached down and grabbed a ring. It was gorgeous yet simple. A thick silver band with a carving of a butterfly in it.

Ash looked back down at the box and grabbed another one with the same hand. A thin silver band with the same butterfly shape on top of it. He glanced at me then closed his fingers around the rings.

"You ready?" I asked him. He nodded. We paid for our things and decided to go to the food court for a little brunch.

We got sandwiches at Subway and went to a bench to eat in peace. While we dug into our sandwiches, he took something out of his pocket. He set his sandwich down onto his lap. Ash took my free hand and slid the thick silver butterfly ring and slid it onto my ring finger. Perfect fit.

I stared at his hands patiently as he put the matching ring onto his ring finger. Another perfect fit. "It's like these rings were made for us" I whispered. My mouth full of sandwich. Ash laughed and nodded, "It seems that way" he replied.
