JOE POV

"No. They can't get a job! They just can't!" Will exclaimed. "Why not?" Mark asked. "What if Joe gets attacked by another bike?!" Will shouted, pointing at me. I nodded, "Thanks, Will" I grumbled. "No, no. He's got a point" James said.

I took a deep breath. "I think we should let Y/n have a job. They want one and they are actively trying to get one. Let's just let them try" I said.

Will smirked. A scary glint in his eyes. "You just gave me an idea' Will whispered. Ash and Mark looked at each other, concerned then looked back at Will. "What?" I asked, not nearly as scared as the rest of the boys.

"We can let them try, but also we can sabotage" Will murmured. James laughed out loud. "This isn't a movie, Will!" James exclaimed. "Yeah! Or a fanfiction" Mark added.

"Listen! Do you know how scary it is to know that Y/n attracts terror?! Don't think I don't know about those boys, Ash" Will said, staring right at Ash. "What boys?" Mark whispered to me. I shrugged having no clue what Wilbur was talking about.

"You're sounding clingy" James said. "I'm sounding worried about Y/n!" Will replied, snapping his head toward James, making James back down. I held in my laugh; he wasn't just worried about Y/n getting into trouble. He was also worried about Y/n meeting and falling for someone other than him. I kept my mouth shut.

"Will, please, go into more detail. Y/n is a strong person. They can easily take care of themself. So why do you feel the need to get them away from something so simple like a job at the mall?" I asked, folding my arms. Will stared at me. My face dropped; he knew exactly what I was thinking.

He took a deep breath. "They are our responsibility" he said as calmly as he possibly could. "They are an adult they can take care of themself" I told him.

"So, you think it's alright for Y/n to run into Charles without us around?" Will asked me. I stopped leaning on the kitchen counter and stared at Wilbur. From the corner of my eye, I could see Ash and Mark also get tense. It wasn't out of the realm of possibility for us to run into Charles. We do live in the same town after all.

Wilbur looked satisfied with our reactions. "So, I assume you lot are in?" We nodded. "Count me out" James said. We all stared at James. "Listen, I'm fond of Y/n I really am! But this is your guy's scheme not mine." "You won't tell them though, right?" Mark asked James.

"I'm not going to say a word. Promise" James said. "Ash, did they tell you where they applied?" Wilbur asked Ash. "Um, and Apple store at the mall was one" Ash replied.

Will thought for a second. "I have an idea" he said. I raised an eyebrow, "Wedding rings are expensive, Will" I said. He glared at me. I will admit, I was being a complete asshole for no reason. But also, I couldn't help but be slightly jealous of Wilbur. Why? I don't know yet. But it does have something to do with Y/n.

TIME SKIP

ASH POV

I laid on my couch not bothered to do anything. I should be practicing the new songs right now, but I don't want to and why should I? I know that the rest of the band is planning how to take Y/n's job away.

A hand went on the back of my head and I jumped and sighed. Y/n laughed, "Did I scare you?" they asked me. I smiled at them, "You always scare me" I told them. They flopped on the couch next to me and sighed, "So, how'd the meeting go? It sounded important." "It was. Very important" I agreed with them.

They looked at me expectantly, waiting for an answer. "Um, it went well for the most part" I told them. I took a deep breath and adjusted my seating, "You want to know something?" I asked them. "Always" they quickly answered.

"Joe and Will have been weird around each other" I told them. "What? Why?" Y/n questioned. I gulped. I know why, but I can't tell them and ruin everything. "It's just stuff that they should figure out on their own" I told them, waving it off. "What do they need to work out?" Y/n was intrigued.

"Oh, well...things. Things you wouldn't understand" I told them. "Am I crazy or do you sound like my emo teen son telling me I wouldn't understand him because math is just such a hard class in school" The joked.

I rolled my eyes and went onto my phone. "Oh my god! Don't go silent on me!" they exclaimed. I didn't budge.

"Talk" they demanded. I just looked at them from the corner of my eye. "Please?" They questioned. I shook my head and looked back down at my phone. They reached for my phone but I moved my phone away from their grasp.

They were unbalanced while reaching for my phone so they fell on my lap. I gasped as they looked up at me, still determined to grab my phone from me.

Y/n succeeded. They giggled and looked down at my phone. Their face dropped, "Ash? Why are you texting Charles?"
