"Wait, what?!" I questioned. "I'm not lying, right down the back" Joe told me with a smirk plastered on his lips. I stifled a laugh so we wouldn't gain attention from other people in the restaurant.
"You seriously ripped your pants?!" "Yeah, it was grade school though, so it's not like important people mocked me or anything like that." Joe responded.
Joe smiled and studied my face as I laughed. "Did you ever realize you have the cutest face when you laugh?" "I don't really look at my face that much when I laugh, so no." I spoke as I rolled my eyes and took another bite of my food.
"How's the food?" Joe asked me. "It's fantastic! Better than your stupid questions about my face." "Hey! I was complimenting you." Joe said, fake pouting.
I laughed, "Yeah, the stupidest way possible." "Well, how should I compliment you then?" he asked me. "Like so..." I cleared my throat.
"Oh, wow, Joe, the dimples on your face are actually the most darling I have ever seen." "Do you mean it?" joes asked me. "I really do, Joe. Promise." We smiled and I couldn't help but realize we were both leaning into each other. I sat up straight and cleared my throat, getting flustered.
Joe chuckled, "What's so funny, chuckles?" I asked him. "You're also cute when you get flustered" he spoke, resting his chin on his hand. I smiled and looked down at my food. "Ah, there it is again." "there's what again?"
"You always look down at your food when you get too embarrassed to face someone. It's adorable." "You simp!" I teased him. He laughed, "Guilty."
I stared at him, his smile making me melt into a puddle. "You suck sometimes for making me feel like goop" I mumbled.
"Well, make yourself not feel like goop, because we're going somewhere after we eat." "What? Where are we going?" "You'll see."
TIME SKIP
"Joe, where are we?" "You'll see..." Joe guided me into a building and checked us in. He held out his hand for me and I hesitantly took it. He opened the door and we were in...an office? "Wow, great date idea" I said, sarcastically.
"Oh, come on. Give it a chance!" Joe handed me a sledgehammer. I was very confused now. "God, you can be clueless sometimes...It's a wrecking room! You just..." He gripped a hammer in his hands, swung, and bashed into a monitor on one of the desks. I flinched at the noise as the monitor fell to the ground.
I was in pure awe. "You try!" Joe said with a smile, handing me the hammer. I took it and took a deep breath. I raised my trembling hands above my head, and threw the hammer down at a keyboard. The keys on the board cracked and disconnected.
"I just thought since your life has been a frustrating pile of shit lately, why not break shit to feel better?" turned to Joe and grinned, excited for what we were going to destroy next.
