"They what?!" James exclaimed. "I'm not proud of it either!" I exclaimed. At first, I was but now...it felt wrong.
"Do you know what their dates are going to be exactly?" James asked me. I shook my head. "No. But I know the order they picked" I said. James adjusted his seating to listen better. "Mark, Ash, Will, and then Joe" I told him the order.
He smiled, "Imagine. Four boys fighting over you" he chuckled at the thought. "Yeah, that fact hasn't completely set in yet" I mumbled before taking a sip of my drink.
"Is that Tom?" James muttered under his beath, squinting behind me. I turned around and smiled, "Oh, yeah! It is!" I stretched my arm up to the sky and started flailing it around. "Tom! Tommy!" I shouted. He looked up from his phone and smiled and ran over to us, a girl trailing close behind him.
"Hey! How you doing?" Tommy asked me. "I'm great! You got to include me in your next vlog" I said. "Yes! I should!" he exclaimed, as if that was the best idea in the world.
"Oh! I would like you to meet someone" Tommy said, wrapping an arm around the girl. I raised an eyebrow. "This is my girlfriend, Mary" he said. "Hi" Marry said, waving. I smiled and waved, "Hi" I replied.
TIME SKIP
James and Mary left so Tommy and I just walked around at the park. "Wow, a girlfriend" I said, staring at the pond. Tommy laughed, "Yeah, it's fucking mental, innit?" I smiled, "Yup."
I swallowed a lump in my throat but then I got slightly upset when the lump didn't go away. "Tom. How did you know she was the one?" I asked him, turning to look at him. Tommy smiled and stared off in the distance. "She's always there for me. Never laughing at me when I fuck up, no. Instead, she'd rush to my side and make sure I'm okay. You got to love someone for that" he said.
He turned to look at me, "Why do you ask?" He asked me. I gulped, "Oh, you know...things. For a friend" I mumbled out an excuse. "Would this friend possibly be yourself?" he asked me.
My heart dropped, "How did you...?" He laughed, "Will told Phil and I kind of broke down Phil asking him to tell me what Wilbur told him" He admitted.
I groaned, "Tommy it's so stupid" I complained. He laughed again, "I bet. It sounds hard. How would you even describe that situation? How are you feeling?" Tommy questioned.
"Um...well..." I searched for the right words. "Think of it like this. There are four Marys." "This sounds like the start to a math problem" he mumbled. I ignored his comment. "You have four Marys, okay? Each one is different and amazing in their own ways. Like...what's something that Mary does that you wish she didn't?" I asked Tom. "She takes too long getting ready."
"Okay, so one Mary doesn't skate but also, she does take shorter to get ready. It's like if you put all four of the Marys together you get Jesus. So, each Mary is like a piece of Jesus. How do you choose which piece of Jesus to date?" I questioned.
Tommy thought for a second. "I'm not sure..." he mumbled. I nodded, "Yeah, that's how it is basically."
We stood in silence for a bit. Just staring at the pond. The silence between us was really nice and calming. It was refreshing to have Tommy by my side instead of Will or Joe, or Mark, or Ash for a change. And of course, since I can't have nice things for long, Tommy had to ruin it. "I'm telling Will you called him a piece of Jesus." "Tommy!"
