"So Sizhui??" Lan Zhan continued; his ears redder than Wen's robes

"Oh, right A-yuan... well let's just say Lan Zhan and I made up to where we misunderstood each other, got a kiss stolen, a having a relationship kept hidden from everyone, and suddenly boom a little radish was there," Wei Wuxian said smiling at his husband

"But if you two were married for only 10 years how's he in his 20s'?" Wei Ying asked

"we had him about 2 years after the SunShot campaign ended but his existence was kept to the two of us and Wen Qing's family who... Wei Ying saved from Jin labor camps..." Lan Wangji said

"Labor camp? What camps?" Lan Zhan asked

Wei Wuxian said

"So you have been married longer than what you said?" Wei Ying asked

"Hmm..... little Lan Zhan should tell you how long? My husband and I aren't gonna take his fun out. But right now we have bigger things to talk" Wei Wuxian said

"Tomorrow when we plan to introduce our spy, we need you both not to interfere, who we're gonna use as a spy is someone very important to me and I want her safe" Wei Wuxian said

"Wen Qing? You want to use her, don't you?" Lan Zhan asked

"Nothing gets by you does it, little Lan? But yes" Wei Wuxian said

'WHAT!! NO! You can't that crazy man will kill her if he finds out! that's not how I want to repay her" Wei Ying said

"Listen to us, this way she won't suffer the fate our lady Wen suffered, in our time she was burned to death alive and her brother was turned into a fierce corpse. So please when this works no one will be able to blame her. She helped to take down the Wens and in doing so she gets the safety of her family. Think about it" Lan Wangji said

"Wei Ying, he has a point and if they say it'll work it will, whatever debt you have for her, you can do it differently this time. They won't suffer in the labor camps and the abuse won't happen" Lan Zhan said as he gently pats the other down to calm down.

"Ok, do it... I'll think of another way to help her" he said,

"there is something I don't get yet, how do you wield Suibian?" Wei Ying asked

"aaa, you see even though Mo Xuanyu did the summoning his core was very weak, almost a newly formed one in size. So later on, once all the mess was dealt with, I got the time to regain its strength, the Lans' training methods are very helpful and with some "extra help" from my lovely husband, now I can go head-to-head with Lan Zhan just like before. Something I regrated the most back then was that the fight on the roof was our only one now I can fight just like before and this core is even more powerful than my previous one" Wei Wuxian said smiling as younger ones went red

"I'm glad..." Wei Ying said while touching where the scar from that day was

"is there a way for him to get a new core? Without your way? The Lan's library must have some way. I'll help you look" Lan Zhan looking hopeful as his hands sought and held Wei Ying's ones

"there was a hope me and Wen Qing had an idea, granted with how I don't have my core melted but with all the mess that happened we didn't get to look into it," the older man said

"How?" the younger jade asked

"aaa Lan Zhan for now you have a war to worry about and once it's done then you can worry about it, ok? The notes we made I remember them well. Once all is done, I'll help the two fix this, you should tell him how it happened too" Wei Wuxian said as he looked at his younger self who held the same hope the younger Jade has

"but you still use residual energy too right?" Wei Ying asked

"yes! But not often... now with my core I have less use of it but I do still use it, I am after all the "grandmaster of demonic arts" you know," Wei Wuxian said as moved his finger with a small wave of residual energy traveling in between them like a small water stream.

"your mastery over it is second to none. No one can or will be able to best you in it. Don't lose your fate over your control" Lan Wangji said smiling as his husband was busy playing with a small wave of energy

"great now! Come on off to bed, or little Lan might fall asleep" Wei Wuxian said and moved from his husband's side when

"WHAT IS THAT!!!" Wei Ying yelled looking at the older Jade in horror.

"What?" his older self asked to see that when he moved the loose robes his husband wore shifted to show one of the whip marks that was across his shoulder blade. 

'aa... that's not good' he thought

"Is that a whip mark? disciplinary whip marks?" Wei Ying asked as Lan Zhan's eyes wide in horror

"We didn't want you to know... we didn't want you to see either" Lan Wangji said as he pulled his robes closer.

"How? How did you the ever rule following second Jade get whipped? WHO DID IT?" the younger Yiling Patriarch asked in horror and rage

"It happened long ago, I have made peace with it and haven't regrated my actions for receiving it either. Once all is done you won't suffer this fate" Lan Wangji said.

"It was because of me, wasn't it? That mark has something to do with you...me, right?" Wei Ying asked looking at his older self

"Not one" he said

"Not one what?" Lan Zhan asked

"Not one mark, 33" he said as the older jade hugged him tight "33 marks from the whip was his prize for loving me," he said as tears began to fall from his eyes

"You were whipped 33 times? For loving me... why? Why do you still love me after all I put you through?" Wei Ying asked as his eye began to turn bloodshot and blind with tears when two strong arms came around his waist pulling onto a body coated with sandalwood.

"It won't happen ok? We'll change their... our fates we are not gonna suffer like them, I promise you" Lan Zhan said as he hugged his soulmate tight

"Not once did I regret them, you have no reason to think otherwise... give a reason and I'll do it again if it means I won't lose you" the older 2nd jade as he kissed his husband's hair, pulling him even closer.

"You should go on... get some rest tomorrow it would be more hectic than today." Wei Wuxian said from his place as the two younger men began to move to the door

"Talk about all you need, listen to each other, don't follow what others tell you, follow your heart and hold a clear conscious" Lan Wangji said as the two bid him good night
