After the meetings with their families, the future men all sat out in the older Jade's room, to plan their next move.
"OK! so we got our families to see the point and we also know that Hanguang-Jun and Senior Wei defiantly succeeded in getting Wen Qing's help, right? So what's next?" Lan Jingyi asked
"What's next is you all will go to sleep like good babies and let us adults do the big boy talks!" the cheery voice of Nei Huaisang rang
"WHAT!! I'M A SECT LEADER TOO, YOU KNOW!!"
"HEY!! ONLY JIN LING IS A BABY NOT US!!"
"But we are not kids! We can plan and help too!!!"
"It's is close to 9 now, and a good night's sleep will help but we too want to help!"
The 4 juniors' voices rang drowning out Lan's voice,
"We know you want to help but for now the best thing is to rest up tomorrow... I want you kids to go and scout the area with some of the Lans my younger self is planning on sending, go with them to get some idea about the surroundings" Lan Xicheng spoke up
"GET TO BED!! ALL YOU!! DON'T MAKE ME BREAK YOUR LEGS!! JIN LING!! GO!!" the loud voice of Jiang Wangyin filled the air as the 4 boys jumped out of their seats greeting good night and fled the room
"Jiang- Xiong did you have to scare the poor kid?? Now they might have nightmares!!" Nei Huaisang laughed
"OK!! so what's the plan once the other two come back?" Jiang Wangyin asked
"Once Wangji and Wuxian come back we should help map out the more dangerous areas and one of us should head out with the troops, best to go with our own clans easy to blend in" Lan Xicheng planned out
"Hmm, good idea Er-Ge... but there is also one part we need to make sure of, now that Meng Yao knows the younger you aren't answering his messages he will send them to his father, that slimy snake might let him know about us, soooo... I got a plan let's intercept the messages and write our own to both of them" Nei Huaisang said
"Good plan except that toad has a hell of a good memory he will know that the message writer is different" Jinag Wangyin points
"Say no more my friend, and watch the master do his work" A smirk fell on the Nei leader's face
"Fine... fine... do what you want head shaker just make sure we get out of this war alive! I rather not have to think about all the war costs and stuff we needed to work balance once this mess was over" Jiang Wangyin said
The next morning the older men rose up heading towards the war council chambers. The previous meetings they took part in didn't wield much change even if a certain leader was missing with his wife replacing him.
"So you mean to tell us that, we should hide you within our own troops and let you lead in the shadows?" sect leader Yao asked
"Yes.. is that not clear to you, sect leader?" Nei Huaisang questioned
"What if you get rid of people you dislike? What if you try and work things in a way that would only help your own clans and not all of us? What if..."
"What if the spoils of war you all are drooling over will not be given to you and would be given based on the people's merits? Is that your worry, sect leader?" Lan Xichen asked., though his voice was calm and gentle anyone could hear the slight dislike in it.
'How is my older self not worried about how uncle will react once he hears how he's talking? Did my future self not have much care for rules and just spoke the way it needed to be said regardless of the rules!!' Lan Huan thought
