Hey guys!!

"What are you thinking Chong-Ge? What's spinning the wheels in your head?" Xie Yun asked

"I was thinking we go up the mountains? The view up there must be stunning" the man answered with a smirk on his handsome face

"Yes... the view must be spectacular...... you want to see if the legend is true" Xie Yun smirked back leaving several pecks on the man's face.

Heading up the mountains sounded easier when spoken of, the terrain was harsh but once you reached the steps to Cloud Recess the path was clearer. Reaching the main entrance just before sunset, the duo met a guard

"What is your purpose here?" he questioned them

"We want to meet the Yiling Patriarch. We were hoping that he might be able to help us" Jichong spoke

"Not many have been blessed with the chance to speak to him, but you may try and test your luck. Be warned that should you have any evil intent toward our clan he would know and strike you down the moment you pass these gates" the guard warned them as they passed the wards with another Lan who appeared in front of them

Cloud Recess was just as its name, a slight mist surrounds the area with birds and small animals often breaking the silence with their voices. The men and women too looked like immortals, their white and blue robes and long ribbons around their foreheads only added more depth to the surrounding tranquility. The abundant Yang energy lit up the travelers as they entered a secluded cabin bit deep into the forest.

"You two can stay here, a servant will bring you dinner, we sleep at night and there is a curfew, please refrain from breaking it." The Lan said leaving the two

"Well, let's get some rest. After dinner maybe the tunes will play the way for us" Jichong said

'A-Chong... even if the tunes don't play, let's make the most of what we have... I don't want you chasing a ghost like the Yiling Patriarch, I don't want you to have his pain' Xie Yun thought sadly. The story hit him harder than he thought it would, to hear another go through the same pain he would one day make his lover go through... it struck a pain in his heart that was even more painful than the poison running inside his body.

Soon dinner arrived. A bland vegetable soup, rice, some small meat, and a tea set arrived with a servant.

"Oh lord, this food has no taste! Do they eat like this? how do they even live? How are you eating this? this tastes like medicine more than food" Jichong mourned the loss of flavor in the food

"A new experience... Gege... think like that and eat" Xie Yun teased as he ate the meal

Once all was cleared up the duo cuddled up in bed slipping away to dreamland with gentle kisses. Not long after the moon reached its peak and the stars began to shine even more brightly a distant sound of a flute began to spread across the quiet forest. The gentle noises the animals gave vanished as if they wished to hear the soft melody. Jichong rose to the melody, gently waking Xie Yun with him.

"Well... looks like the Yiling Patriarch is going to meet us... come on! Let's go" Jichong said walking up to the door already dressed up

"Wait up Ge!! At least let me get something warm for us to wear!" Xie Yun said grabbing two clocks they trekked up a path further into the Lan compound.

The duo followed the melody till they reached a field full of gentian flowers and rabbits sleeping cuddle together beneath a large tree, which held a jade tombstone with the title 'WangXian' written.
