So this is a little early Halloween special and a birthday gift to Xiao Zhan (Oct 5th) and Wei Wuxian (Oct 31st)... I hope you guys enjoy it.
"Legends are those whose stories resonate with people long after they are gone"
A harsh cough broke the silence in the otherwise quiet camp as the young man lying in bed coughing waking his sleeping partner.
"A-Yun!!! Are you ok? Here! Have some water" the previous sleeping man said gently patting the other's back before handing over a cup of water
"Sorry...' cough'...didn't make to wake you 'cough' I'm fine! Go back to sleep!" the young man said after drinking the water
"It's getting worse, isn't it!! We need to find you a cure fast!" Jichong said looking worried at his partner
"Gege... you and I both know there is no cure!! Didn't we promise to spend the rest of our lives to the fullest? Live life without regrets?" Xie Yun asked the other, a gentle smile spread on his face as the other pulled him closer shielding him from the coldness his body was not used to both internally and externally
"Hm... we did but that doesn't mean I'm willing to let go of you without a fight! We will live our lives to the fullest but not a year. We will be together till the end of time" Jichong said
"Mn" the other replied heading back to the land of dreams
'I will not stop! There must be something or someone that can help you! I will not stop nor will I lose you' the rouge thought holding the other even closer
The next morning the two head out going where the wind took them
"Young man!! You seem to be like someone who likes to drink! Here!! Come try the best wine in the world!!" a vendor yelled getting the pair's attention
"Oh!! The best wine!! Do tell me, what's the name?" Xie Yun asked
"Aaa this is called emperor's smile! The best wine! You'll ever have!! People say they die regretting never having a sip of this!!" the man said
"No thank you!! We are good" the taller man of the two said dragging the other with him
"Aaaaa... since when did you not want to drink? What's wrong? Is it money? No wait that can't be we didn't even spend that much recently" Xie Yn asked as Jichong dragged him to a stall further from the wine seller
"You'll regret never drinking it before you die!! HA!!! As if wine will magically save a person from death!! Forget it! Come on!! I'm hungry" Jichong said dragging the other to a restaurant
"Death is common to all Gege!! For some it may be earlier than others" Xie Yun said giving a quick kiss to the other before sitting.
'That doesn't mean, it's fair! But Ge... if this is what fate has given then it's better to accept and be happy till the end' Xie Yun thought
"What do you want to eat? My treat!" Xie Yun said and the two order
As the last of the Mantou began to vanish a storyteller emerged
"Ohh!! Look a storyteller!! Wonder what story we might hear!" Xie Yun excitedly waited for the story to begin
"Hmmm... wonder if his stories will be anything like those that Qian Suiyou would tell" Jichong teased the other only to hear
"Well... young man I can't say my stories will be as good as the great Qian Suiyou's but I do know some that not even he would know!" the storyteller said
