'Aaaaa Lan-r-Gege... why did we agree to go with them? we haven't even left yet and I already want to kill more than half of them" Wie Wuxian mumbled next to his husband as they watched the Jins get ready to leave.

To be honest to anyone who asks if they didn't know they were joining a war front they would have thought the Jins were going on a picnic. the amount of clothes and food was enough to feed twice as many as the troops they had.

"Wei Ying, leave them be, we follow our rules they have theirs," Lan Wangji said

"Ohhhhh really Er-ge?? And what's that?"

"Snakes thinking they are dragons... though I'll be honest not all are the same, even if it's only three with that blood I'll think that," Lan Wangji said quietly to his partner only for the said man to break the silence around them with his wind chime like laughter

"Aiii Gege no one still believes me when I say you're funny!" he mumbled with a quick kiss on the other's cheek

"Can you two not!! I mean seriously who thought it was a good idea for a pair of cut-sleeves to come with us? if I say we rather not have them" a voice rang making all look to the source and not surprisingly there standing like a golden idiot was Jin Zixun

"If you have an issue, go complain to your sect leader!! they choose who goes with who! And if it helps, we rather not come with you too! honestly, we're going to war but you all look like you're getting ready to go for a picnic! who the hell even takes this many clothes to war or even this much useless stuff?" Wei Wuxian asked

"You!!! Wei Wuxian!! how dare you speak like that!! do even know who I am?? HMM UMMM HGG MMMHHH" the annoying pest kept yelling when suddenly poof his voice was gone and a very annoyed-looking Jin Zixuan appeared.

"Hanguang-Jun, Yiling Patriarch, I apologize for my cousin!! don't think about what he said he's not even part of the group we would be traveling with, on behalf of Jin I apologize! you're here to help and we should make sure not to insult our elders and those of obvious HIGHER RANKING!!" that last part the man said out loud for many of the Jins who saw 'social rankings' as the key to everything

"Young master Jin, you shouldn't apologize to others. One should understand their mistakes and bear the consequences of it" Lan Wangji said moving aside with his husband leaving a stunt Jin behind

No sooner than they were close to leaving Jiang Yanli arrived

"Young master Jin, I hope you and your comrades will be safe," she said bowing, the young Jin nodded thanking her when whispers began to fill the air

"Did she seriously have to say that? That's bad luck..."

"Honestly, what do you think, she wasn't taught how to fight... how would she know what's to say and what not?"

"Why is she even here and not hiding like she should be? She can't even lift a blade"

"Our females are better than her" and so on many spread leaving behind a tense atmosphere with the Jin heir and Jiang sect leader making their presence known to all

"HOW DARE YOU!! HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT!!" Jiang Wangyin yelled almost punching the face of the mocking Jin when

"Sect leader Jiang, these are my men and I will have them punished for their insults," Jin said

 
"HA... only now since you know you will have a son with her that you care? Jin Zixuan!! Mark my...."

"Sect leader Jiang, I'm not doing this because we would one day marry and have a child. Right now, I'm doing this to defend a lady's honor when all she wanted was to wish me and my troops the best. True we are not married nor have we reinstated the engagement but this is simply to shut my troops up!" the man said forcing the others to bow and apologize to the lady.

Huffing the Jiang sect leader left with his sister.

"You know, ear-dropping isn't nice?? Come out" the man said making a blushing Jin Ling appear

"I wasn't ear dropping just happened to pass through and heard you"

"Yes. I'm sure you weren't... the same way I don't make sure I wear a gold robe each day, and where did you even hear how to lie like that?" the Jin heir said

"Uncle Wangji told me that a good leader should always have a backup line to say if someone asks why they did something that's not the norm," the young Jin leader said

"LAN WANGJI!! TOLD YOU THAT!!"

"Yes, why?"

"LAN...LAN WANGJI!! A Lan told you how to lie?" yelled out poor Jin Zixuan not knowing what else to think of since hearing THE Lan Wangji tell that to his child

"Uncle knows that not all rules are black and white and that sometimes we need to see the grey more than the white," Jin Ling said, and then

"Did you mean it? I mean I know we agreed not to have as much of the future left for you to plan out but I do wish I knew, at least if I go back and will be in existence" Jin Ling said

"I don't know how your parents got together A-Ling. I don't know if they just did it for the sake of our mothers or did, they actually liked each other, I can't guarantee what the future will be for you all but one thing I don't know is that I'm proud of you A-Ling, I'm soo proud to know that I would have a son like you. Someone brave, kind, loyal, and noble." The man said hugging the now red-eyed boy

"Take care of yourself, Jin Ling, you and your friends should play your part and we will do too. We'll be back before you know it" the golden-dressed heir said mounting his sword and leaving the Nei grounds with his men

"Take care A-Die... come back safe," the younger said as he walked back in to meet up with his friends.

Not far out the Jin heir turned to look at the vanishing figure of the boy who would one day be is son,

'I know the future isn't set in stone but I hope that one day you will be my son, if or not you will have the same parents will be a mystery I hope you will be mine, a son like you would make me know that I'm not my father' the man though heading out to an unknown battle

"Not bad peacock! You might be well on your way to being a good person, at least in my view and I didn't even get to punch you" a voice broke the Jin heir's thinking. Looking to his side he can see Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian flying together next to him

"What do you mean?"

"I mean in our world I had to punch some manners into you, but I can see that you always had them just didn't know how and when to use them," the blacked robe man said smirking

"Shut Up!! Will you!!

"And why would you be so interested in punching me again wasn't once not enough?" the Jin heir mumbled

"If you weren't an ass to Lady Jiang then I won't have," Wei Wuxian said

"I guess that makes sense, but will you do the same now? Will try to have this world as close to yours as possible?" Jin Zixuan asked

"No... this world will have its own path, how it will be is up to you all. Who do you marry? Who you fall for is up to you. We're simply going to observe and only help when we think it's needed, nothing more nothing less" Lan Wangji said

"Thank you, both of you for helping us. I know, if possible, the Jins will be your last clan on the list of 'we need to help' but thank you for coming we could use your help" The Jin heir said as the men descended towards their designated areas
