"And how so? I mean you can command them and since there are two of you we can have you in two different places but what about the rest?" Jin Zixuan asked

"This is a special talisman I created during our time of the campaign I call them "Black Wind Flags". The flags use Qi as live bait to lure resentful creatures to where the flags are. "Since you all seem to be the new leaders of this why not just give the orders and we follow" he continued

"We are not taking command we are just telling you all that will help you NOT get killed or go around killing innocents. We fought this war and we know what will happen we are making sure you all won't fall into the same sinkholes we fell into" Jiang Wangyin spoke
"So your current move is to change spies, get Xicheng's one out, and put your one?" Nei Mingjue asked
"No, we keep that spy he's not totally working for you all but he does have some good information to share plus he's more eager to please someone else other than Zewu-Jun" Wei Wuxian spoke
"Then what's the plan?" Lan Huan asked
"Simple first A-Xian and Wangji will head out with their younger selves to meet the new spy while the rest of us will help with your defenses, we won't tell you where to change them simply follow the order your commander will give us. When the 4 of them are back with the spy then we tell you where you need to change the plan" Zewu-Jun said smiling teasingly at the four. The older two nodded while the younger two went red
'How close are the Lans to Wei Wuxian that they call him "A-Xian" only I / A-Jie call him that' Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng thought sadly

"WHAT!!! HEY!!" all four juniors and Nei Huaisang yelled out, even Lan Sizhui who eyed his parents
"You all are going to stay here, that's not negotiable," the older Jiang sect leader said
"But we can help too, we are the best in our generation... come on that's not fair. Hanguang-Jun! Zewu-Jun! Senior Wei! Come on!" Lan Jingyi yelled out
'How is he a Lan?' Lan Qiren thought out
"Jiang Cheng let them help, they aren't toddlers... this might be a good opportunity for them to learn, plus you all will be there to keep an eye out. But only fights that are within an hour's sword flight from the unclear realm, got it? You four will stay close to Jiang Cheng and Xichen-ge or nothing you say will stop me from locking you all up. Got it?" Wei Wuxian said with a steel in his voice unknown to many he had.
"You'll really let us?" Ouyang Zizhen asked
"Wei Ying has a point follow your seniors' words and help them, do your best but stay to your limits" the older Hanguang-Jun spoke up
"Yes, Hanguang-Jun!!" the four said
Later about an hour afterward both present and future Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian met outside their room. Greeting each other, they drew their swords and flew, Wei Ying with Lan Zhan while the older two went separate. An hour of silence was broken when
"What's got you both so quiet?" Wei Wuxian asked
"It's nothing just happy to see me... you use Suibian... I didn't realize how much I missed flying till now" Wei Ying said while Lan Zhan held even more closely than before.
"Hmm, I know what you mean don't worry once this is done I'll help you with your core," the older said
"Did you miss it too? When you were..." Lan Zhan asked but left his words when he realized it sounded wrong
"Eii little Lan, if you want to ask you can there's nothing wrong in asking," he said
"But at that time, no not much. My mind was too occupied with other things like what to do after the war and how I could avoid anyone from finding out about my core" Wei Wuxian said looking at Lan Wangji with a sad smile
"You can't change the past but you can work on it to have a good future. You shouldn't let the past make you suffer now" Lan Zhan said
"Hahaha for a minute there I thought my Lan was talking. Don't worry little Lan I have long stopped thinking about it" Wei Wuxian said
"We are close," Lan Wangji said
Soon all four descended to a quiet mountain area near Defan.
"ok let's go meet them," Wei Wuxian said as they walked up the mountain when they heard
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE, WEI WUXIAN???"
