Lan quarters
"Are you sure Lady Wen will help us? with how we did treat the Wens these last few days, will she?" Lan Huan asked as he looked at his future family
"From what I know from A-die she will, she before all is a family persona and a doctor. She would do what she knows well would help her family" Lan said
"She will help, she has to... if she won't all our work will fail and all of our elders will suffer like in our time" Lan Jingyi yelled out throwing his arms around
"I'm inclined to think YOU are Wei Wuxian's son and not Lan Sizhui... how on earth did you turn out like this?" Lan Qiren spoke
"Uncle, that's not nice, for all A-Yi is he's definitely one of the best in his generation same as A-Xian was at this age," Lan Xicheng said smiling at the young man who turned redder than the food Wei Wuxian enjoys.
"Have faith...Lady Wen will help, grandfather..." Lan Sizhui said making the old man have tears in his eyes, he never thought that one day he would hear that word used for HIM. While he did know that he would someday get grandchildren to see he never thought they would address him as "grandfather", "granduncle" seems like a word they might use.
Lan Qiren while he may not have been good to show his emotion to his nephews, he did try his best to raise them in a manner they won't fall to their demise like their parents. Further, he never thought that it would be WANGJI that would give him his first grandchild, out of both his nephew if he pushed his money on which one of his two nephews would give him a grandkid it would have been Xicheng, not Wangji. But then again seeing the young boy in front of him, he thanked heaven that his precious baby nephew got someone that would love and cherish, even if his said choice was the complete opposite of what he thought Wangji might fall for (we can't have all we want the way we want, old man), but he was certain if his brother and sister-in-law were among the living, they would have loved the boy and unsurprisingly so would his lover's parents would for Wangji. The number of rules Wei Wuxian and his sister-in-law would have broken if they met made him shiver and add the said partner's MOTHER...
'oh Cloud Recesses... the peace and tranquility will never return 😖😖' Lan Qiren thought sighing in his head while holding his beard remembering Cangse Sanren's pranks when suddenly Lan Qiren tried not to laugh in thinking of the late cultivator's face once she sees her son has fallen to a LAN (oddly even I would love to see her face, she won't disagree with their relationship but she will definitely wonder how will her poor baby live with all those rules, before knowing that her son-in-law will let him break ALL of them)
"Mn..." Lan Qiren said looking at the boy
"You will help us change Cloud recesses, right? I know in your time many of what we are familiar with are different, how did you do that?" Lan Huan asked
"That's where we are going to help you, first of all, the elders need to change. We can't call ourselves "righteous" until and unless we act like our principles. So changing the elders would be a must, but in truth, I just got rid of them completely. The clan can have elders for advice but that's all they should be" Lan Xicheng said
"Those old men should just worry about their cultivation and their peace not bother with other things," Lan Jingyi said
"Yes, they will soon after the war is over, but I do need to know if has there been any change to the rules. Have your change had them involved too?" Lan Qiren asked
