I'm a whirlwind
incesssant
swept up in the breeze of my emotions
i float to the ground, dreamylike
swirling, curling its tendrils around me
the tightness around my wrists
unsettles me
into the air i fly
farther into space, my feet far from the earth
i've always wondered how stars look from up close.
firm gusts take me from planet to planet
i can barely remember home!
I hold tightly
your fingers lose circulation.
the world capsizes and i race back to the ground.
i sink deeper as the earth caves all around me
underground just as far as i was in the sky.
why?
i've realized too late.
i should have never looked up in the first place.
