Hey awesome nerds,
Here's chapter 3.
Alec's POV
What have I done? This is the second time I have almost hooked up with Melanie. Jee, I have got to get some of this stuff off. I run into the men's bathroom and put my normal clothes on. A black and white t-shirt, with light brown jeans, and black converses. Ah. Now I feel myself again. I run to roll class and hear Hadley sing. I walk in, and she looks at me directly. She smiles and I smile back.
"I will never let you down!" She sings. Jee, she's amazing. She finishes beautifully and we all applaud her. This is like the second time she's sung today when I'm around. She sits down next down to me. And I give her the thumbs up. She thanks me.
"Hey, sorry about before. I was being an idiot and I really hope you forgive me." At the moment I say 'me', she gives me a bear hug and I hug her back.
"Don't worry. I will always forgive you. Let's just forget about it. Ok?" She says.
"Ok." I reply.
For the rest of roll class, I admire her eyes, face, and hair soft, long auburn hair.
The bell rings, and we go our separate ways to first period. I think of Hadley the whole time. Maybe she's right. Maybe I don't need some chic to be in my life. Maybe I need her. She's had my back for so long it's not funny. We'll see, I guess.
Hadley's POV
After roll class, Alec and me go our separate ways and go to first period. English. Yippee. I guess. I walk into my English room and my good friend Lilly calls me over to her. She saved a seat next for me. I sit down and hug her.
"Hey bae. How's it going in the house of order?" She asks. Lilly is like Alec. She sticks me up for what happens to me. In a way, she is like a girl version of Alec. I giggle and realise. She can date Alec. They are soo the same.
"Yeah. Everything's fine. Just a few squeaky moments here and there. Hey, have you got a date for the prom?" I ask
"No, not yet." She replies.
"Well, I have a great guy for you. He is just like you. In a way. Guess who?" I ask
"Who?"
"Alec Suttermen"
"No way. He is not like me. Not a bit." She says shaking her head.
"Yes. You both stick up for me when Misty is being an ass. You both lost a parent. And you both want a person in your life." I say.
"So, what's it gonna be?" I ask. She considers this for a moment.
"Fine! But only this once. I hope your right about this Hadz. I don't want a great night ruined." She says with her pointing finger poking my forehead.
"Don't worry. It won't. Anyway, you two might even get a little addition. Maybe multiplication." I say.
"Hadley! Don't think like that. It will never be like that. Never in my life." She says smacking my arm.
"Ow! Ok, keep your pants on. Will you?" I say rubbing my arm.
"Sorry. It's just; I want to actually do that when I find that person I want to spend the rest of life with. You know?" She says. I do know. Every night I picture myself with my husband coming home form work, planting a kiss on my lips. Then spending the night making love happen in that house that we both knew that we would spend the rest of our lives in. I have always had that dream.
