Alec's POV
(When bell rang for lunch after gym)
Yes! My team won!! I scored the winning goal and Hadley jumped up and down. I ran towards her and spun her around. Both of us not caring that I was sweaty. Both of us forgetting that Hadley is being taken away from me.
Now, I am taking a shower and changing. When I am about to exit the changing rooms, I see Melanie sitting on one of the benches. I look around and no one is here.
"How long were you sitting there?" I ask and she stands up.
"5 minutes. You played amazingly today." She says. She walks to me and I walk backwards, trying to get away from her.
"Thanks. You know that I am with Hadley. Talking about Hadley, I need to talk to her, so let's go." I say, take a step to the door but Melanie catches up to me.
"I need to talk to you." She says and I gulp.
"I miss you, Alec. I really do. Ever since Prom, I've had this urge of affection towards you. Alec, I want you." When she says that, I stumble over something.
"Really?"
"Yep." She grabs me from downstairs and squeezes.
"Do you want me?" She asks. I a little then shake my head.
"No. I'm with Hadley. And I will be for a very long time." I say and she rolls her eyes.
"Oh, come on. You and I both know that she only like you because of your brains. She probably only started dating you because she only wants the sex from you." Melanie says and pushes me onto the lockers.
"No, that's not true. Hadley wouldn't do that. That's not Hadley anyway." I say but consider Melanie's thought.
"Well, you can't judge a book by its cover." She says and kisses me. I can't think. Everything is blurry. Its like there are millions of Melanie's and I can't get them out of my head. I kiss back and hear something slam but I ignore it. I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her neck. I lift the bottom of her shirt and feeling the warmth of her back on my fingertips. I kiss her on the lips again then hear a door opens. Just then, I hear someone scream and Melanie breaks away. I look at the door and see Mikayla, Joey, Lilly and Hadley. Hadley looks like she is about to cry and I think of a good explanation.
"Lilly?" Hadley asks.
"Uh huh?" Lilly replies.
"Take me home. And never bring me back." Says Hadley and bursts into tears. She takes one look of me and Lilly takes her away. I try to call out Hadley's name but I get a punch in the face instead. I fall to the ground see Joey on top of me.
"Dude, dude! What was that for?" I ask, putting my hands up to my face to shield it.
"For breaking your girlfriends heart." He says and punches me one more time before helping me up. I see Mikayla yelling at Melanie while Melanie has an evil grin on her face. I walk up to Melanie and slap her in the face. She looks at me with puppy eyes.
"Slūt." I say and the rest of us walk out the change rooms, leaving Melanie behind. Just then, Mikayla slaps me behind the head.
"Hey! What was that for?" I say and rub my head.
"For breaking my friends' heart." She says and walks to class. What have I done?...

"Come on. Hadley, pick up. Pick up!" I say hearing her voicemail again. For the 15th time.
"Honey? What's wrong?" Says mom.
"Its Hadley. She's not answering me. All because I kissed Melanie." I say.
"Alec!" She yells and slaps the back of my head.
"What?!" I whine.
"How could yo-" she says but the doorbell rings. She sighs and goes and answers it. Few minutes later someone walks in my room and I look up.
"Lilly! Oh my God! Am I glad to s- Ow! What was that for?!" I say but she slaps me in the face. God, my face is gonna be hurting tomorrow.
"Delivered by your new ex. Hadley Elizabeth Heathsville." She says.
"What?" I say confused the Lilly holds out an envelope with my name on it.
"What's this?" I ask.
"A letter. From Hadley. Oh, and she told me to tell you not to talk to her for a while." She says. I take the letter and look at Hadley's handwriting.
"And how long is this 'while'?" I ask, suspiciously.
"A month." She says.
"A month?!"
"Yeah. She's pretty heartbroken." She says, looking at a photo of me and Hadley. I sit on my bed.
"What did you mean, 'new ex'?" I ask.
"It will tell you in the letter. I better go. I'll see you later, Alec." She says, puts a hand on my shoulder and leaves. I look down at the letter and flip it over to open it. I open the folded piece of paper and begin to read.
