Chapter 16 - First times and catching up

School holidays are finished, and I guess I am happy and sad... Anyway, here's what you want!! Another chapter!!!

Hadley's POV

"Elisa? Is that you?" Asks Dad
"Flesh and bone. Aren't you gonna hug me?" Says my MOM!! Dad stands up and hugs my mom. Wait, so, the person who was talking to me in my dream was Aunt Emily? OK, this is confusing..
"Hadley. My beautiful little girl. Finally, able to see you after years." Mom says and she hugs me. And I sort of hug back.
"Hi. Oh, I'd like you to meet my boyfriend, Alec." I say, pull away and Alec stands up.
"Hello Miss Wrightly." And Alec shakes my mom hands.
"Oh, please. Call me Elisa. Oh my. My little baby girl is grown up. A boyfriend, outfits that look absolutely amazing." Says my mom. And I smile.
"Honey? Are you ok? You look a little pale." Says Dad.
"Huh? Yeah. Um, I'm just gonna lie down. Get everything processed." I say.
"Oh. I thought we were going to chat?" Mom says.
"Maybe later." I say and walk up to my room with Alec close behind me. My mom is alive. And my aunt is dead. I can't get my head around it. Where was my mom for 12 years? Was she in another town? Or another country? Was she in Broadway? Performing with big names? Or was she hiding in the attic of my grandparents roof? All these questions unanswered. I walk into my room and collapse onto my bed. Mostly because I am so sick of this life. So many things happened to me. My mother faking her death and trading her death to her identical twin sister, 3 years of being raised like a proper lady, a new mom, being forced to do cleaning like Cinderella, my new mom being pregnant with my dad but find out it my boyfriend's dad's not my dad, my dad and new mom divorced, grandparents surprise visit, find out from my dad's boss that dad had sex with ex-step mom and now this! My mom! Coming back from hiding! I close my eyes for what feels like forever until someone nudges me. I open my eyes and see Alec next to me.
"You OK?" He says. Uh, other than my life turning upside down, yeah. I am OK. I sit up and lean my head on the backboard of my bed.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking over the things that have happened to me." I reply.
"Well, I know one good thing." He says. And he sits next to me probably looking at my neck.
"Oh yeah? What's that?" I ask. He then kissing me on the neck and sends shivers down my spine.
"That we were once best friends, and now, we are happy as a girlfriend/boyfriend couple. Just like our parents in highschool." He says and continuing kissing me, starting from my neck and going up to my jaw. I get more shivers and when he gets my cheek, I turn my head so he can kiss me on my mouth. The kiss turns passionate and somehow, I am sitting on top of him and he has hands running up and down my back until finishing with his hands on my waist. I puts my hands around his neck and he pushes my lower back so I am closer to him. I pull away to take a breather and hear a ting from my phone.
"Great to ruin the moment. Again. When will we ever get a moment to ourselves for more than 5 minutes?" He complains while I hop off him, grab my phone and see a message from Mikayla.
M: Can you please tell Alec that his dad proposed to my mom? I don't have his number.
H: OMG! Sure, I'll go tell him now. Thanks for letting us know. 😉
"Well, maybe tonight. When you stay over. After you cool off." I reply and slowly put my phone down on my desk.
"What do you mean, 'cool off'?" He replies, slowly sitting up.
"Um.. Mikayla just messaged me." I say slowly.
"And?" He says, getting curious.
"And she said something about your dad."
"Hadley? What did she say?"
"OK. Before I tell you, please promise you won't get really mad. And just forget about what I say until you get home. Cause my mom is back, and we are going to be together tonight, just the two of us-" I say but Alec interrupts me.
"Hadley, just tell me. I promise that I won't get angry. Just come here." He says motioning to sit on his lap. I slowly come to his lap and take a deep breath.
"Ok. Your dad and Misty are getting married." I say and shut my eyes, getting ready for him to burst. But nothing happened. I open my eyes, look at him and he looks as happy as he was when I first kissed him.
"You ok?" I ask. He smiles and pecks my lips.
"Yep." He says.
"You sure?"
"Yep. Totally. So, what were you saying about tonight?" He asks and I giggle. We end up kissing again until someone knocked on the door. I pull away and open the door.
"Oh, hey Katie." I say.
"Um, sorry to disturb you two, but dinner is ready." She says.
"OK. We will be down in a sec." I say and she nods. I close the door, turn to Alec and sigh.
"We better go." I say. And we walk downstairs, hand in hand. We enter the dining room and I sit next to Dad and Alec sits next to me. My mom sits in between Dad and Gran. The is conversation about the last 5 years while eating Roast Chicken, roast vegetables with gravy. Then my mom starts talking to me.
"So, Hadley, what have you been up for the last 11 years?" She asks.
"Nothing much really. Trying to survive years of terror with Misty." Then she interrupts me.
"Wait, Misty Tipfull?"
"Actually Misty Lovegrove. Misty and Josh married 16 years ago." Says Dad.
"Whoa. I need alot of catching up to do. OK, sorry. Continue honey." Says mom
"Anyway, Dad got me singing lessons, so I've been getting better." I say and my mom gasps.
"Oh no. You don't have the same terrible voice like mine, do you?" She says and Dad laughs.
"No. She is amazing. Whenever she sings, its like an angel came down from heaven." Says Alec.
"Well, I'm not that bad." I say.
"Why don't you show us?" Asks my mom and Gran drops her utensils.
"Really? Now?" I ask.
"Well, not right now, but later. What do you think, Dad?" Mom asks Gramps.
"Absolutely. I've been dying to hear something amazing from Hadley, since the house warming." He says and Gran speaks in.
"Alfred, why don't we start getting back to the hotel. We have long drive ahead of us." She says. With Gran, Gramps has to do everything Gran says, or its divorce papers in front of him.
"But, we were just making good conversation." Says mom.
"I know, but I feel really tired and need a good nights sleep." Says Gran.
"Oh, well, let me walk you out to your car." Says mom. I stand and give Gran and Gramps a hug and say goodbye. Mom walks her parents outside and its quiet in the house.
"I can't believe its her." I whisper to Dad.
"I know. And I even can't wait until she tells us why she left." He whispers back. Mom comes back and sits at the table.
"So, Alec. Your staying the night?" Asks Dad.
"Well, my mom said I could, and I am also helping Hadley with her invitations." He says.
"Invitations? For what?" Asks mom
"I'm having a birthday party. Since I didn't have one when my birthday came around." I reply.
"Why?"
"Cause we were busy moving."
"Moving?" Dad steps in to help me.
"All will be said after dinner. Hadley, honey, why don't you, Alec and Katie go upstairs and get Alec's bed ready. Your mom and I need to catch up." He says. And Alec, Katie and I walk upstairs.
