Hey awesome nerds!!
Here is chapter 8!
Alec's POV
"I want a guy that gets me. That isn't overprotective. That isn't always around you 24/7. I want a guy that knows what I'm getting through and will always be there if I get into another moment like earlier. I want a guy that will come home and plant a kiss on my lips. That will always be positive and stick around if I get ill or die."
I guess I am that type of guy. Damn it, Alec! Why did you follow what Hadley said and ask Lilly and not Hadley? You love her! You're an idiot. I smack my head and wince at the pain. Shoot!
"Are you OK?" asks Lilly as we walk home. Hadley had to double-check the footage we had in the film studio so it was ready to go for Monday. She said that she would call me tonight.
"Yeah, just forgot to do something at home that I had to do this morning." I lie.
"Oh. What was it?" she asks.
"Um. I had to take some rubbish down to the bin cause it was stinking my room a little." I lie. Again.
"Oh. Ok." We arrive at Lilly's house and I stop her just in front of her driveway.
"What is it?" she asks.
"Have you ever done something your best friend told you to do cause they knew it was for the best for you and then you realize that you made a mistake and regret what you did?" I ask.
"Yeah. Why?"
"It's nothing. I just wanted to ask cause I was just thinking of the stuff we have in common." She grins.
"Oh, yeah. And what are the things that we have in common?" she says putting her arms around my neck.
"Oh, well, that we are best friends with Hadley, and that we both love each other to heaven and back." I say grinning.
"You can say that again." She says and leans in to kiss me. I lean in and kiss her. Her mouth moving with mine. Soft and gentle. She moves her arms up and tangles her hands in my hair. I pull back wanting air.
"I'll see you later." She says and kisses me on the cheek.
"Love you." She says. And walks towards her 2-story house.
"Love you!' I call back. She turns around and walks backward while waving at me then turns around again. I sigh and head home. I shove my hands in my pockets and hum 'Stitches' by Shawn Mendes. It takes 30 minutes to get home, so when I get home, I walk inside my house, dump my bag next to the coat rack, walk into the kitchen and open the fridge. I grab a jar of peanut butter, butter and bread out of the fridge and make myself a sandwich. I sit on a stool next to the kitchen bench and have a look on what's been posted on Instagram. I find that nothing interesting has been posted so I log off and turn my phone off.
"Hey, honey. How was school today?" asks my mom, walking into the room.
"Hey, mom. It was fine. Hadley, Lilly and me are getting ready for next Monday's 'Riff Off' that Hadley got challenged by Mikayla." I say.
"Oh, well, I hope Hadley wins. She has an amazing voice."
"Yeah. She does."
"Hey, even though all three of you are in year 11, but do you guys know where you are thinking of going to for college? Just so you are prepared for next year when you have to apply." Asks mom.
"Um. I don't know. I'd have to go on the Internet to find out, but I think Lilly's parents want her to go to an Art school here in Los Angeles." I say.
