Hadley's POV
I can't believe I kissed Alec. Oh crap, Lilly. What is Alec going to do? I hope he tells her the truth. I mean, she should know. But then. Oh, what the heck, she'll understand. I hope.
Alec had to go home so I let him go. I went onto my laptop and searched my old houses address. I found out that it's on for sale and no one wants it. I copy the URL and put it into an email. I put my fathers email into the email and type a quick message.
Hey,
It's on for sale. Check it out. If you want to forget about her now, we better leave now then later.

I click send and sigh. I look at the time and see that it's 8.30. I hop out of my bed and check on Hayden. I knock on the door and get a pillow thrown at me.
"Whoa. What was that for?" I ask
"For hurting my mommy." I hear a little voice.
"Oh. I'm sorry about your mommy. Can you forgive me?" I ask kindly.
"No! GO AWAY!" he yells and I quickly run away. All right. He hates me now. That's cool. I go to Mikayla's room and knock on her door.
"Come in!" she yells and I walk in.
"Can I get something for you?" I ask.
"Ummm. Not yet. But can I talk to you? Please?" she asks and I nod, closing her bedroom. Her bedroom is the same size as mine. Her bed is put on the right side of the room and her desk a metre next to it. She has a really big space in the middle of the room with books all over the floor. Her walls are painted a light purple with posters of guy singers like Justin Bieber, Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes and other singers. She has four fluffy cushion seats with a coffee table in a corner. Mikayla is next to her books, probably studying, scribbling notes. She looks up at me and puts to the cushion seats, which are pink mind you, and stands up. She turns down the volume on her music player and sits down on a seat. I carefully seat down, nervous of what she is going to do, and tap my fingers on my knees.
"I need to talk to you. About mum and Alec's dad, I knew about it. Just 3 days ago. And the reason why I hate you is because I am jealous of you. I always have. You have an amazing voice that I won't have. And when I heard that Ryan liked you more than me, I was furious. That's why there are posters around the school. I wish there was something I could do to like you more. And I am on your side now. I actually hate my mom for what she did. She shouldn't have done that. I really wish I could have met your mom. She sounds just like you. Your dad told me all about her. I'm so sorry." She says and I look at her with a shocked face. She gets up and walks to her closet. She rummages in there for a little while until she comes out and produces her money jar. She empties it on the coffee table and counts it all up. Then she divides it and hands me some of it.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"Giving you the amount of money you're meant to have. You are meant to have half and Hayden and me are to have a quarter. That was the deal that your dad and my mom made. Ten years ago. When we both met." She says and she puts the money in my hand.
