Hey awesome nerds...
So, as you can see, I have entered in the #Wattys2016 thing. And I feel as though that I didn't get permission, but whatever...
Anyway, I am freezing my butt here so, this chapter will be a small one. Sorry....
Chapter 20!!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hadley's POV
"Now, I know what Gran is with the lady etiquette, when you get used to it, you'll be fine. Just stay calm, and don't get mad. I don't want a angry mother. Just make sure you keep your room clean, and you do whatever your Grandmother does..." rambles my Mom as we head to Malibu. I look out the car window and see Santa Monica disappear behind me. All the memories, all the experiences, all the things that have happened to me. Disappearing. And it makes me cry just thinking about it. Oh Dad, I hope your plan works...
"Honey? You ok? Your crying." My Mom says and I look at her while wiping my tears away.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Just going to miss Home." I say and she takes one hand off the wheel to rub my shoulder.
'Aww, honey. It'll be ok. Hey, why don't you and me have a girl's day out tomorrow. To keep your mind off things. We haven't had quality time since I came back, anyway." She suggests and I nod.
"Yeah. That would be great." I say and she continues to ramble on.

(25 minutes later)
We arrive at Gran and Gramps's place and man. It has changed since I was 9....
It looks like, someone has ripped down the whole place, and re-built it. But turned it modern. Gran still has her rose garden out front and Gramps den down the side. Gran and Gramps walk down the pathway and greet us at my car. We say our 'hellos' and head inside. Someone, who is male and looks about 25, runs outside and grabs our luggage. Huh, since when did Gran and Gramps get maids? We walk inside and inside hasn't changed. Still the Tudor looking house. The male maid, who has biceps as big as melons, shows me to my room and it's the room that I had when I was younger. There are floral walls with a mini chandelier in the middle room. To the side, there is an old chest of drawers and a little cupboard with heaps of hangers. To the other side of the room, there is a double sized bed with floral covers. Next to the drawers, there is a long mirror and next to that, there is a little desk with photos of me when I was little. In front of me, there are French doors that lead out to a big-ass balcony. I look outside and see people tending to the gardens and grass. Mostly males. Man, what is it with the males. Someone clears their throat and I turn around. It's the guy who brought up my things.
"Excuse me, Miss Heathsville. But I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Santiago, and I will be your maid along with Maria, but she is not able to attend today due to a sickness." he says and we shake hands.
"Um. Hi. You can just call me Hadley. Um, how long has my grandparents have maids?" I ask.
"Oh, for 3 years now. And it is a pleasure to meet you, Hadley." Says Santiago trying to say my name right.
"Mrs Wrightly would like to see you in the lounge room." He says and I nod. He follows me out to the lounge room where Mom, Gramps and Gran are having tea and having a deep conversation.
"Um, sorry to interrupt, but Santiago said that you'd like to see me, Gran?" I ask and Gran puts her tea down.
"Mm. Yes, sit child. We need to discuss schedules." She says and motions me to sit down next to Mom. I sit down and Mom pat my head.
"Now, from now on, you will wake up at 7.00 am precisely, have breakfast, then do 4 hours of school work. Lunch will be from 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm. Then you will go back to school work for 3 hours. You will then have free time to catch up with your friends on your generation of technology for 2 hours, then you will shower, dinner will be at 6.00pm then you will go to bed at 9.30 pm." She says while I make mental notes.
"Um, what happens between dinner and bed?" I ask and she laughs.
"You will have family time. Here." She says and I think 'Great.'
"Ok, got it all in my head. Is that all? I'd like to unpack." I request and she nods. I thank her and head to my room.

(4 hours later)
"Wow, she has gone far with this schedule." says my father through my iPad.
"Yeah. Hey, how's the plan going?" I ask.
"Good. They are questioning her and her friend now. I think that they want to talk to your mother and you. But they will come up in a couple of days. I've let your mother know. Don't worry." He explains.
"Do you think that we'll win?" I ask.
"50% sure." He says and someone knocks on my door.
"Dinner. Got to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow." I say.
"Ok. Good luck. I love you." He says.
"I love you too. Bye." I say and he waves. I hang up and head downstairs to the dining room. Tonight, I am having freshwater crab with a Caesar salad. I dig in and Mom motions me to ask Gran something. Oh. Right.
"Excuse me, Gran?"
"Yes, dear."
"I have two questions to ask."
"Right, and the first one?"
"Um, Mom and I were wondering if we could have a day together tomorrow? And since it's the summer holidays now, does the schedule still count?" I ask and she looks between me and Mom. Oh no. I've said something.
"Sure. Of course you and your mother can have your day. And the schedule doesn't count over the holidays. Just make sure you follow morning, lunch, dinner, and bed." She says and I smile.
"Thank you." I say and we all continue dinner.
Yikes...
