Hey awesome nerds!
It's winter here! Yes! Not. I am on holidays. So I have been writing my books!
Anyway, here's Chapter 5.

Hadley's POV
I can't believe Ryan likes me. But I don't like him.
"Alec Suttermen!" Say Mrs Zang, my music and roll class teacher. We are in roll class, listening to Mrs Zang read out the roll.
"Here!" Says Alec. Mrs Zang finishes the roll and starts the notices. I zone out after the first 3 notices.
"Ok. Notices are finished, so who would like to perform today? We have 10 minutes left." Says Mrs Zang, in her rich Japanese accent. Yes. She's Japanese. She immigrated here 5 years ago. She wanted to be a music teacher because 1) she wanted to be a teacher and 2) she is good music. She married to Mr Zang (who is a tradie) and then got her heart broken when no schools near her accepted her except one in Tokyo. But she didn't really like a place too crazy like Tokyo. So she moved here with her husband.
"I will Mrs Zang!" exclaims Mikayla. "I need to practice for my performance in Music anyway." She says walking up to the front. I quickly put my earphones in my ears, hiding them, and putting 'Where have you been' by Rihanna on my phone. I look at Mikayla with a fake smile on my face. 3 mins after her terrible singing, people look like they are about to cry from the sound, I don't blame them. She takes a curtsy.
"Hello? Applaud?" She says. Everyone instantly applauds and fades out after about 15 seconds.
"Wow, Mikayla. That was. Incredibly. Uh." Says Mrs Zang. Trying to find words.
"Wonderful? I know." Says Mikayla. I scoff.
"You think you can do better then, Hadley?" asks Mikayla.
"Like you don't know, Mikayla." I reply.
"Oh really?"
"Really."
"Well, I guess, I am a lead in the Year 11 summer musical." Says Mikayla.
"The difference being, I can actually carry a tune." I say, and everyone cheers.
"Ok. I challenge you to a sing-off."
"Oh, your on." I say, standing up.
"Day after tomorrow, lunch, hall." Mikayla says. "Judges, performing arts teachers. I'm sure that is OK, Mrs Zang?" She asks, keeping her eyes on me.
"Yes. That is OK." Replies Mrs Zang.
"Good. But we need a deal." Says Mikayla.
"Yes, indeed." I say.
"If I win, you get Ryan Rockling."
"Fine" I say.
"Hadley, I think you need to—" says Alec, but I interrupt.
"No, it's fine. And if I win, you go to prom with Chuck Totten. I've heard he needs a hot sexy date. Just like you." I say.
"Fine."
"Game on, Mikayla. Game on." I say, and walk out of roll class when the bell rings. Alec catches up to me.
"Hadley, are you sure about this. I mean. You are defiantly going to win." He says.
"It's ok, Alec. A few weeks after we are together, I dump him. Tell him, I don't like him anymore. It's simple." I say, and walk into the girl's change room. I see Lilly and give her a hug from behind.
