Ozai throws a left-curved fire blast, followed by a right-curved blast. He then fires a straight blast. Aang endures the heat of the blasts. Ozai yells out to Aang tauntingly while using a flamethrower blast at the rock fortress, his hair sways in the wind. "Come on out, Avatar! You can't hide in there forever!".
Sokka and Toph are running on top of one of three airships. Sokka shouts at Toph to make sure she can hear over the raging winds, "Toph, metalbend the rudder so it's jammed in a turning position. The ship will spiral and slam into the others". She agrees, "Got it!"
She moves Sokka out of the way, she spits into her hands and rubs them together. Toph grips and metalbends the rudder she grunts in effort, and the Imperial Firebenders inside the ship crash into the wall, and due to the action, the ship crashes into the other ships.
A firebender comes out of the ship from the escape hatch and fires at Sokka and Toph. Sokka drags Toph and jumps off the ship, he plants his sword in the side of the vessel to stop their descent. He manages to slow them down, but they still fall off and roughly land on a platform below; Sokka breaks his leg in the process, and his sword embeds itself in the metal just in front of him. Toph, however, falls off the platform, but Sokka manages quite quickly to grab hold of her hand at the last moment just before she becomes out of reach.
Sokka screams in pain, "My leg!". He comes back to his senses quickly realising that he was the only thing holding Toph up, stopping her from falling. "Hang on Toph."
"Aye Aye Captain".
Two firebenders emerge on the platforms beside them, posing a threat from two sides. As one of the soldiers is about to firebend at them, Sokka throws his boomerang at him, knocking him out. He kicks his sword into his hand and throws it at the remaining soldier's platform; it cuts right through the metal and plummets to the forest below.
Sokka looks on sadly, "Bye, bye Space sword..."
More Imperial Firebenders come outside, ready to finish off the two. Sokka starts to lose his grip on Toph.
"I don't think boomerang's coming back, Toph. It looks like this is the end." Toph and Sokka start to cry. The firebenders get ready to strike.
A cry is heard, and seconds later, another. The cry causes the imperial firebenders to freeze. Sokka struggles to turn his head, his neck straining with this simple task.
His eyes widened, never in his life had he seen creature's such as those.
Two birds flew across the sky, the bird leading the charge was very large but it was quite lanky, it appeared to be a charcoal brown colour in the light of the flames behind it. Its wings were large, larger than on any animal he had seen before. And its powerful talons look like it could even either strike down or kill a large Buffalo Yak.
Behind it trailing on its tail feathers was a bird that Sokka had never even seen before, a majestic bird with red and gold feathers. It looks like a golden halo. Shining so bright that it seems to emit rays like the Sun in contrast to the fire behind it.
