Atla: The Return of a Legand

Chapter 17 -Into The Inferno-

As Sozin's comet entered the earth's atmosphere, Tera turned to Aang.

"Aang" he turns to Tera, "I have helped you as much as I believe I can..." she pauses mid sentence. Tera reaches you to her neck pulling Yangchen's beaded necklace over her head. Placing it around the young boy's neck.

She continues "This is not my fight," she pokes him in the head. "Remember all your knowledge and power come from there." She gives Aang a smile and a pat on the head. "Do your best".

Tera starts to walk away, she calls out, "Come on, Aye-Aye. Dont think your mortal body can handle the heat of this fight." Momo jumps off of Aang's shoulder and glides over to Tera's, he reserves a head pat from her. She continues to walk away.

Aang thinks for a moment before he shouts after Tera, "Tera". She stopped turning around to look at him, "How do you know some of my past lives?".

She smiles, giving him the sort of look someone would give when they know something that you don't. "Let's just say I'm a lot older than I look". She then turns back around leaving Aang , so that he can prepare for his fight against the so-called 'Phoenix King'.

Sokka, Suki and Toph had managed to infiltrate one of the giant airships. They had managed to send the entire ship's crew into the water. And had managed to take control of the entire airship.

The Order of the White Lotus stands outside the great wall of Ba Sing Se. Bumi with his permanent crazed smile says, "Ba Sing Se, the Order of the White Lotus is here" And master Pakku continues, "Here, to set you free".

Iroh stands in front of the old masters, signifying that he is a grand high Lotus master, he holds Tera's betrothal necklace tightly in his hand, before pocketing it. "Only once every hundred years can a firebender experience this kind of power".

Iroh inhales deeply. Then he exhales, a ring of fire appears around the Old Masters. The flames grow larger each time Iroh breathes deeply. He opens his eyes and raises his arms, as the flames around him collect to make a ball of fire. It collects energy and Iroh fires it as a massive fire blast that breaches the Outer Wall of Ba Sing Se. Bumi jumps forward and stomps the ground. The three stone blocks that the Order's members are standing on begin to quickly move toward Ba Sing Se. From behind the wall as fire blasts are shot at the Order members. Iroh deflects the attacks. The Order members leap and go toward the city.

As Pakku breaches the city he bends a giant wave of water over a building and down towards the Fire Nation soldiers in front of him. Piandao jumps over the house after Pakku and he turns it to ice, freezing the soldiers in place. Piandao slides down the frozen wave and breaks the ends of the soldier's weapons in a matter of seconds. He then slides off into another street.

Pakku unfreezes the water and freezes it again in front of him to block the incoming fire blasts. The ice barrier is destroyed, and when another fire blast is about to hit Pakku, a giant wall of fire erupts, made by Jeong Jeong, in front of him, stopping the attack. Jeong Jeong, floating in the air using firebending to create fire jets beneath his feet. Jeong Jeong turns to another street. A line of tanks fire on him, but he blocks the attacks with another giant wall of fire and thrusts the wall knocking the tanks. More tanks begin to fire on him from another street, but Jeong Jeong repeats his actions, creating a wall of flame and attacking the tanks with it. The tanks are knocked over, they are now in a pile as the wall of fire pushes another tank into the pile.

At the approaching Fire Nation fleet of airships. Ozai stands at the front of his airship. He inhales deeply. He exhales, and opens his eyes and a wicked grin appears on his face.

The airship that Sokka, Suki, and Toph hijacked is just below all the other airships. Sokka looks through a small broken window. "We're not gonna catch up to him in time". Suki's voice holds sadness, "No...".
