June kicks a chair out from underneath another customer and sits down and begins drinking her tea.
"Hey, I remember her!" Sokka stands behind Zuko. "She helped you attack us!" "Yup." Zuko walks forward. And continues, "Back in the good old days."
They all walk up to June. June sees them instantly recognizing Zuko, "Oh great. It's Prince Pouty." "Where's your creepy grandpa?"
"He's my uncle. And he's not here."
June leans forward, "I see you worked things out with your girlfriend." Zuko and Katara who become flustered and embarrassed, looking at each other as they speak, before cutting to June.
"I'm not his girlfriend!" Katara's voice holds anger. Zuko speaks at the same time. "She's not my girlfriend!" "Okay, okay. Sheesh. I was only teasing. So what do you want?"
"I need your help finding the Avatar." June thinks for a second, "Hm. Doesn't sound too fun." She sips her tea.
Zuko's face morphs into that of anger, he leans over the table at June, his fists clenched. "Does the end of the world sound like more fun?" As soon as Zuko says this something catches June's attention causing her eyes to widen. What she noticed was the red fabric that was wrapped around Zuko's arm.
June looks Zuko dead in the eyes, "Where did you get that?" Zuko now looks confused looking down to see what June had seen. Seeing that it was his aunt's scarf, he replies, "My Aunt hasn't had the time to give it back to her. Why?".
June closes her eyes for a hot second then looks up sighing as she did. She stands finishing her tea in one gulp. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a gold coin leaving it upon the table.
She grabs her whip that was sitting on the table and looks at the group of pre-teen's. "Alright... let's go" She walks out the door, with the gang who were heavily confused following behind her.
Appa and Nyla both stand up as the gang and June walk toward them. June holds up a piece of meat. She shakes the piece of meat. "Nyla." She throws the meat to Nyla, who catches it in his mouth and starts chewing it before swallowing it; June walks up to him and starts petting him. "Who's my little, hmm, Snuffly-Wuffly?" Nyla sticks his toxins-coated tongue out and she dodges it and forces his mouth closed. "Whoa! Careful there." She turns to the gang, "Okay. So who's got something with the Avatar's scent on it?"
Katara stands on Appa's back. She pulls out Aang's glider from Appa's saddle. "I have Aang's staff."
Sokka looks at June, "So what changed your mind?". She looks at him, "Lets just say that I owe Tera a few favours". Zuko looks at her. "You know my aunt". June leaves the question unanswered.
June approaches Nyla and holds the staff out in front of his face. He sniffs it. Nyla begins to walk around in circles, trying to sniff the scent out somewhere else. Cut to overhead view. But after a minute Nyla returns to June and continues sniffing. Nyla then lies back down and covers his nose.
Zuko, confused, asks "Well, what does that mean?". June pets Nyla's head before answering. "Means your friend's gone." "We know he's gone. That's why we're trying to find him." Toph just as confused as Zuko asked, toph was starting to grow impatient with this 'June' person. June stands up. "No, I mean he's gone, gone..." She turns to face everyone else. "He doesn't exist."
Looks of worry and confusion appear on their faces.
