CHAPTER THIRTY TWO
meet again

Y/N’s POV

"You and Mr. Haitani has been undeniably getting closer. Am I missing something or Am I the only one to notice this sudden closeness?" Emma suddenly blurted out of the blue, while we're here in the office. We're currently picking some newly set of designs for our upcoming release of clothing line. Phew, what a life handling a multi-industry company.

"Huh? What do you mean closeness?"

"I MEAN— I haven't heard you ranting about despising him since the day you guys were having a little chitchat in the charity program, and I noticed that you were both having a talk, like normal ‘friends’. Just freaking tell me what happening—"

"There is nothing!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘THERE'S NOTHING’?!"

"NOTHING! Like, ugh! I just... I just thought of... maybe, let my small barriers down and befriend him. Just— friends! Again!"

"Hmm... That's suspicious... Befriend with your ex who cheated on you..." She said as Emma squinted her eyes at me, indicating that ‘i Am VeRy SuSpIcIoUs’.

"Whatever." I said as I rolled my eyes, earning a satisfied cackle from my friend. I then started looking at the sketches and it literally caught my attention. These dresses are casual ones but with a theme of fantasy aesthetic and it was very dazzling. It literally got what I want and it also fit the latest trends in clothing.

"Hm! By the way, (Y/N)?" Emma suddenly called out, I hummed and slowly raised my head towards her who's smiling and gazing at her phone's screen. "Do you remember the double date that I told you?"

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot about it. "Yeah, when was it again? The day after tomorrow?"

"Yes, you hit it right. But, my brother said that he's going to be busy in that day and he don't want to miss this opportunity and so, he asked if we can go tomorrow instead. And, I already checked your schedule for tomorrow and it's incredibly unoccupied!" She beamed and her voice and facial expression really says ‘excitement’.

"Okay, okay, calm down. So, how can I even decline when you already advance check my schedule for tomorrow?" I said, slowly shaking my head at how good this lady is. "Since I can't decline, what time and where?"

"Hmm, around afternoon and in the nearby mall." She said as I nodded. Emma is now out of the office to do some errands around the building. While doing some important paperworks, someone knocked into my door.

"Come in." I shortly replied and soon after, a most unexpected visitor stepped in. "Oh! Engineer Baji! What brings you here?"

"Hey yah! Nothing, just going to take a visit here, besides the amusement park construction is near to its end so I decided to take a visit my team, here in the company. And... Wow. You just grew more even powerful." He complicated as he went towards me, hugging for a quick minute. I then led him to sit on the couch so we could have a small chitchat.

"Do you want anything? I could ask my secretary for some snacks?"

"Ah! No need, I'll be just quick here too. Like I said, I just visited here." He answered as I nodded my head, while having some chats, I grabbed my coffee cup while happily talking with my friend.
