CHAPTER NINE
her sanctuary

Y/N’s POV

We're now back at his car, driving back to their place. But Ran said I can go home now, and Rindou will be the one to take me home. Halfway driving, it was silent. Pure anonymity of silence surrounded us, not until I decided to break it.

"So.. who is this crush you're talking about?" I asked, making the latter look at me with his calm demeanor while the other side of his lips, arose.

"Through out the game, that's the only things stuck inside your head?" He asked in his baritone voice, chills rolling down to me. "Unless you're curious or.. jealous?" He continued which made my eyes roll at him, making the lad laugh at my situation.

"I was just asking?! Is it wrong just because I asked? What do you want me to ask? Who's your mother?" I said and clicked my tongue making the guy beside me cackled even more.

"You look cute getting cornered like that." He said, smiling from ear to ear while his gazes were averted in the road. I was just watching him, admiring his features.

His eyes were beautiful colored in amethyst, meanwhile his nose was pointy unlike mine, making me feel insecure, and his lips? Freaking plumpy and beautiful than mine. God really took his time creating this jerk beside me.

I didn't even noticed that he was just also watching me, with just only his soft expression while his eyes averting in different ways, as if he's also analyzing my facial features.

"Hey.." He mumbled as I hummed in response. "We're already here, you've been staring at me since earlier then." He said, as my gaze's widened. I then looked away and stiffened in my seat. Not knowing what to say, and him? He was just freaking smiling! He really likes to tease and piss me off, huh?

I suddenly moved and unlocked the seatbelts to unleash myself out of this car. And when he noticed that I was struggling with it, he didn't hesitate to move closer as his face so close to my chest! It was making my heart beat fast, and I don't even know why!

"You're nervous.."

"Huh?" Confusion, I said.

"I could hear your heartbeats getting faster, are you nervous? I mean, this happened already in so many times right?" He said as he successfully unlocked the seatbelt.

"Well..─ I don't know and why do you care?!" I exclaimed, as I hurriedly got out of the car and went out. And when I was about to run back to the building, I turn around to see him now outside while leaning in his car. A mouthed a thank you as he nodded and waved his hand goodbye, as I also did the same. After that, I nodded my head and quickly went to the elevator as I pressed the floor where my apartment is.

I held my chest as the sound of my rapid heartbeats could still be heard. I swear, if I'm with someone right here in the elevator, they might laugh at my situation.

Many things happened to us, we even fucked for like god knows how many times now. But, why would I feel this kind of adrenaline rush when he was just simply removing my belt?

Am I just imagining things or... Am I starting to like him─

A sound of vibration in my pant's pockets was heard as the elevator, dinged opening its doors. I stepped outside before grabbing my phone to see who texted me at this time.
