CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Y/N’s POV

Another productive day! But, today is my day off from work in the estates. So, I can't go to the office and decided to meet up with Emma in a café near, where my house's located. Miyuki woke me up in four in the fucking morning, while indicating me to get her out for a walk at a park just inside our residence. I changed into some sports bra and a leggings to have a healthy jogging with my dog too and wore my favorite running shoes. I grabbed the leash, where it is connect to the body wrap (a/n:lolidkwhatdotheycallthat) in Miyuki's.

Right after I locked the gates of my house, Miyuki ran as fast as she can while I'm here, holding her leash trying to decrease her speed. At this point, I don't know who is the real dog here. Me, who's getting pulled or the dog?

We stopped by at the park I let her play and socialize with the other dogs in the grass field. Before, Miyuki is really a shy dog, let's say an aloof dog. When I bring her in this plaza, she'll just sit beside me while watching the other dogs playing and socializing. But now, I've observed her and watched her grow so much and seen her step out from her comfort zone. Miyuki is such a lovely dog, a friendly one, a creative pet, and a helpful animal to humans.

And when she notices that I'm breaking down while my walls would instantly crumble down because of exhaustion and stress from work, she'll run into me and mourn with me. I am so grateful to have her that day, she's the one who helped me last year to get out from my deep thoughts that keeps me holding back to things that I wanted to do.

My phone suddenly ring continuously as I instantly answered it without hesitation and didn't even had to look at caller'e ID.

"Hello?"

[HEY! Where are you?! I'm already at the café!] Emma's loud voice echoed through my eardrums that I instantly moved my phone away from ears.

And, wait.. what?! "Huh?! It's too early! Why are you there already?!"

[You know that I don't like being late right? So that's why I'm here!] Emma said as I laughed silently, gosh this girl, she's giving me headaches.

"Okay then. I'll just going to shower my dog before I go there. Bye!" I said and instantly dropped the call before I got stuck with her sermons, too early for that.

I then got up and went to find my dog, and when I finally spotted her. I saw her trying to communicate and play by barking at a cat who jumped on its owner's head while hissing at my dog.

"Miyuki!" I yelled as I ran towards her and quickly attached the leash to her hook, pulling her away from the frightened cat. "I'm really sorry for what my dog did!" I said as I got to my knees to properly attach the leash into her.

"It's fine.. My cat doesn't like to interact with other animals.." That voice..

I looked up to see who looks awfully familiar to me, and then it hit me.

"Kakucho! OMG, It's you!" I yelled as I shoot up and was about to hug him but I stopped myself because of how surprisingly crowded the place is. I smiled at him as I just offered a handshake to decrease the awkwardness.

"You still remember me, (y/n)." He said and smiled as he hugged his cat, who's now lying in his arms prettily.

"Of course!" I said as my gaze averted to his cat, who's purring in his touches, "I didn't know you're into cats." I said as I reached for the head of the cat, and surprisingly, it let me pet her head.
