CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN
chasing your fears away

It's been now almost a week since that day that I got the lot from Rindou that he freely gave it to me with nothing in return which is I was so happy and even told Emma about it. Even though she teased about it, I just let her what she wants to think about it.

We are now having our weekend ritual, Sunday Shopping Spree. But instead of buying ourselves some new branded clothes, shoes, bags and make-up. She wanted to help me prepare and buy the things that I'll need for my house construction. Baji said that the project will take place after a month of preparation. We're now in a café to rest from all the walking we had around the supermarket.

"Okay, are you really sure that you and Rindou don't have a thing?"

Emma suddenly asked, "Huh? What do you mean?"

"You know! Because, I've been undeniably noticed, that you and him are getting more closer and more closer, by each day. I even heard you having a call with him the other day! It's just been a week since the day he visited you in the office with a box of sweet pastries and bouquet if tulips in your office. And since that day, he has this habit of sending foods and flowers for you, are you really sure that he's not courting you or something?" She suddenly burst out, not stopping with her words as I snort at her.

"Girl, you're overthinking things." I said as I grabbed a sealed cup of Macchiato I ordered as she also did the same then easily dropped it to the table.

"No, I am not. I am being true here while you're infront of me, denying it. Come on, I know that all of your feelings is back, I'm right, don't I? You already know that he didn't cheated on you before, now your feelings is starting to retrieve back." She suddenly said.

And it freaking hit so damn hard. Now, I couldn't think of anything to deny this now because she already hit me right in the spot. I looked at her and she was grinning, satisfied with my reaction that she finally got me.

"Okay, okay! You got me, okay? Now what?" I said as I leaned back to my chair and crossed my arms together.

"What, now? Why don't you confess it to him? He probably still loves you after all the years he waited for you to come back." She said as my face softened at the thought of that.

"Almost all of me says the same thing you just said, but there's this little voice in me saying that I don't have to rush this. I'm still... scared about it. It wasn't easy, you know. Specially that time was false and he didn't cheated at all. But what if this time... he will?" I said, looking down at my Macchiato in the table as I sighed in annoyance at how I overthink things like this.

"Girl," Emma said as she put her fork down, "That was before. We know that it really left a scar in you, but none of those is true. And how could you say so that he'll cheat, when a fine looking men like him who can easily get himself a girl with no hassle, waited for the love of his life to be back in his arms? And also, how would you know if he' cheat if you won't try it again?" Emma said as I sighed in response.

"You know, relationship is nothing without faith, trust and verity love towards your lover." Emma added as I looked at her, she was smiling at me as I smiled back at her. Thinking, that she really got a point on that.

"I never thought that you're one of those love advicer guru." I commented as we both laughed. After the sincere talk and stuffs we both Emma had, we then thought of going home before the sun down because tomorrow will be another day of work.
