CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE
rendezvous

"Cheers for the success of Haitani Enterprise, Sano Industry and Sato Empire!" My voice echoed as I raised my glass of wine as they all did the same. The others were even cheering and clinking their glasses.

Tonight's the real party, we arranged a small celebration in the resort's event area and even planned for a jamming with some of the invited singers and even the former Rascals itself. Now I know why they're here.

I'm currently wearing a high waist white shorts and a beige square neck bishop sleeve crop top. I then got down from the stage as I went to the table where Emma, Mikey and the former Rascals are. But before heading, I ofcourse visited and greeted the other higher echelons and some of them were having the time of their lives. Some with families, were already in the pool area with their kids. After, I then walked back to the table as I sat down. They already started eating dinner and I'm the only left since I roamed around the party first.

"How is the party going?" I asked soon as I got nearer in our table where also Baji, joined in.

"Lively and Fun! How about you? You've been roaming around the event since then." Baji asked as he sipped the liquid contents from his fancy glass.

"Yeah! You should unwind for a bit and have this night!" Emma said as she poured another batch of wine into my glass. I gladly accepted it and sipped onto it.

After talking, we went towards the crowd where they all gathered to watch the performance as we also sang along with the singers. The former Rascals even had a quick song performance and we really enjoyed it, even those business accomplices in 40's enjoyed the night.

We all dance, sing and had fun for the rest of the night. It was almost 11 PM at night when we all got back to our respective lounges, so as the others. I already changed into my pajamas, and Emma's already in her bed scrolling down to her social media feeds.

"I'm going to sleep now, good night!" Emma said and soon, put her phone on her side table and closed the lampshade in her part leaving only mine's, lit on. I looked at the balcony as the sound of the waves coming from shore could be heard from our lounge. I even noticed at how the moon is really beautiful tonight, I sighed and rolled over to my side and closed the only lampshade on.

I closed my eyes as I tried to sleep but it never helped at all feeling no exhaustion but frustration of wanting to sleep. I opened my eyes as I looked around to grabbed my phone, lit my phone screen to see that it's still 12:01 AM. I sat up from my bed as I quietly went towards the balcony, opening the sliding doors as the white curtains flew in. The midnight breeze was so calming, add the sound of the waves. And because of it, an idea popped into my head.

I quietly yet hastily, grabbed my shawl and wrapped it around my shoulders. I slowly and quietly closed the door, carefully not to make any noise that will make Emma wake up.

I'm now currently, walking in the sand, barefooted as the enthusiasm rushed throughout my veins as I watched the whole enthusiastic view in my front. I run towards the shore as I soon felt my feet soaked from the salted sea water. The waves are quite calm since it's low tide this time.

I closed my eyes as I felt the strong midnight wind blew and entangled through my hair locks. Opening it to see the stars, aligned and shining above me. The moon glistening, as it has always been, in my eyes.

I took a few steps backwards as I lay my shawl down in the sand, sitting on top of it so the sand won't transfer into my pajama. I sighed and smiled, feeling the air touch my skin. I will never get tired of saying, that I am still mesmerized at how beautifully peaceful at midnight.
