As Courtney rolled over in bed, she was greeted by the sun peeking through her window. She groaned and buried herself further into her blankets as she began feeling around on her bed for her phone. Her head was pounding and a voice in the back of her head was telling her she should never drink again.
After not being able to find her phone, Courtney finally decided to get out of bed, feeling a sharp pain when she touched her thigh.
She looked down in confusion and noticed she had a large bruise on her left leg and cuts and scrapes on both of her knees.
Her confusion continued until she walked into her bathroom and found her phone on the floor.
It was almost two in the afternoon-- way later than she expected-- and as Courtney began trying to piece last night back together, she was coming up blank.
She didn't remember leaving after she downed her dad's scotch, but given the outfit she had on, Courtney knew she must've changed to go somewhere.
She felt a little better after a shower and was even feeling a little hungry, so after popping a few of her dad's prescription painkillers, Courtney decided to get a power smoothie from the local galleria.

Brendon had a worried look on his face as he followed his girlfriend into the mall. Alex loved to shop, but today wasn't the day for that. Tonight was Spring Dance, the cap off to spirit week and this year's theme was 'Famous Couples.'
"In and out, Sweets. I just wanna grab new leather pants."
Alex pulled Brendon onto the escalator and as they went up, Brendon rested his hands on Alex's hips from the step below hers.
They rode in a comfortable silence until Alex saw something-- or someone rather-- who she wasn't expecting.
Her eyes widened in surprise and she smacked Brendon's hands.
"Babe! Look!"
Brendon followed Alex's line of sight and groaned, already knowing his girlfriend's intentions. He rolled his eyes as they finally made it to the second floor, not wanting to even approach the raven-haired problem.
"No."
"But--"
"Babe, you gotta start getting ready."
Brendon's words seemed to go in one ear and out the other for Alex, because before he could stop her, Alex took off with her boyfriend right behind her.
"Suprised to see you here."
Courtney turned from the body jewelry kiosk, finding Alex smirking at her. She cut her eyes a bit before smiling back at her.
