"Okay, is it just me or did it seem like Villanueva was fucking with us when he came up with the extra credit? Like, who could've actually gotten that bonus question right?!"

Spencer absentmindedly answered Alex's question as he followed her and Brendon out of their sixth-period Humanities class. It was the last final before the baseball team's weekend bonding retreat and Spring Break and, after a week of stress-studying and cram sessions, Spencer was looking forward to the next week away from school.
In that week, he and Frankie managed to avoid each other as much as possible. Aside from swapping notes for their group project, the two barely even made eye contact.
"Only you would know when the first issue of Batman was released. Nerd."
Alex teased Spencer as Brendon pulled her in, gripping her waist with a pout forming on his face, pulling her in closer as he left a trail of kisses along her jawline.
"Remind me again why can't I just stay home with you this weekend? I mean... my parents are gone... we'd have the place to ourselves..."
Spencer rolled his eyes, disgusted with Brendon's pawing at Alex as the three now stood in front of his locker.
Alex, noticing Spencer's discomfort, pulled away from her boyfriend a bit, clearing her throat as she placed her hands on his chest instead.
"As fun as that sounds, you kinda have to go on this retreat. Co-captain, remember? All that team bonding before the playoffs...?"
She continued, playing with the collar of Brendon's shirt as she noticed his shoulders slump forward a bit.
"And besides, it's barely a couple days. You guys will be back before you know it and then... it's Cabo, baby."
Brendon pulled Alex in, kissing the side of her head, causing Spencer to groan to himself before leaving the couple at his own locker.
He quickly went to his truck, swapping out his book bag for his overnight bag and soon headed over to the parking lot where the bus would be picking them up.
If he had been annoyed by Alex and Brendon's public display of affection a few minutes ago, seeing Frankie and Jake in the parking lot drove I'm absolutely mad.

Jake's hold around his girlfriend's waist tightened a bit and he smiled down at her, thinking how adorable she was when she pouted.
"Believe me, baby, I'm gonna be counting down the minutes."
Frankie scrunched her nose and tilted her head, a half-smirking making its way onto her face.
"Why are you so cute?"
Jake shrugged and brushed his nose against Frankie's, neither of them noticing the set of envious eyes glaring at them.
"Just a reflection of you, I guess."
