Frankie nodded vacantly as she leaned back against her car, shaking her head.
Spencer shoved his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, hanging his head, not ready to look Frankie in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry, Beans. I never wanted this to happen, you have to believe me."
Frankie sniffled and bit her lip, looking up to see Spencer, his hood covering most of his face. She tilted her head, thinking it looked like he hadn't been getting very much sleep.
"It doesn't matter anymore..."
There was look of confusion on Spencer's face when he finally made eye contact with Frankie, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Frankie let out an insecure breath, twiddling her fingers together nervously before her shaky voice finally came out.
"Look... you're about to have a lot to deal with... way more responsibility. I just... I don't think we're gonna work."
Spencer quickly rushed in, cradling Frankie's face, his heart ripped apart from seeing tears rolling down her cheeks.
"No, no, no. You don't mean that! We can work! You're— you're my soulmate, my best friend. My everything. What am I supposed to do without you?"
Frankie tore Spencer's hands away from her face, wiping her tears as she sniffled.
"Go be a good dad."

He shot back up when the doctor re-entered the exam room, a warm smile on her face holding a manila folder.
