As Frankie watched the antics of her classmates in the pool, she shook her head and laughed to herself, thinking about how differently she had her night planned.

Instead of staying in her bed and watching trashy TV like she had planned, she was dragged to Wade's party by her two best friends and the second they arrived, Alex and Jasmine both dispersed to find their boys leaving a slightly annoyed Frankie by herself.

After settling on a soda, Frankie made her way outside, hanging out at the far end of the pool by herself, watching her classmates.

"So is this what all South Valley parties are like?"

She looked over, a small smile pulling at her face when the tall figure took a seat next to her.

"Only the cool ones."

She leaned back a little, looking back at the ruckus on the other end of the pool as Jake settled in next to her.

"Although, I certainly wasn't expecting to see you at one already, Mr. Popularity."

Frankie leaned over, playfully nudging Jake, causing him to let out a chuckle as he threw his head back.

"Nah, not even. Mr. Castellanos basically forced Spencer to let me tag along."

Frankie looked over at Jake, raising her eyebrows, slightly surprised.

"Oh... Spence is here, too?"

"Yeah. He and... I wanna say... Brandon--"

"Brendon."

Jake pointed at Frankie and nodded.

"Right, right--Brendon-- yeah, they're here... somewhere inside I think. I kinda just ended up outside and then I saw you."

"So, you haven't met any of these guys yet?"

Frankie nodded forward and the two sat back, watching some of the upperclassmen of North Valley High frolicking in the pool. Jake ran a hand through his hair and let out a deep sigh.

"Not yet. To be honest...? I'm kinda dreading it."

Frankie's eyebrows knit together in confusion as she looked over at Jake, noticing the way he was staring off at the pool.

"Why?"

Jake tilted his head a little, another deep sigh leaving his lips before he answered.

"Once everybody finds out who I am, they'll all treat me different."

Frankie smiled a little and shook her head.

"I didn't."

Jake looked over at Frankie, a small smile pulling at the corners of his mouth as he responded.
