Chapter Twelve: Planning

The next 'morning' Jade was surprised to see you were already awake. she had expected you to sleep in, but there you were, on your laptop, waiting for her to wake up so you could both eat a nice meal and possibly do some other things, maybe even practice for the play a bit more.

Although you hoped that practice was done, to avoid kissing Jade for as long as possible. But don't tell her that.

It wasn't that you didn't want to kiss her- No definitely not. In fact kissing her seemed like the best thing to do. But you were also scared... You didn't want to kiss before you both were attached in fear of her leaving. You felt the spark but, you didn't want her to leave just yet. He left you, your ex left you, a lot of people had left you, and you hoped so hard that when you had to do that stage kiss that she wouldn't. And kissing her would be nice. Definitely. Her lips looked soft and- that's where you stopped yourself, staring at Jade awkwardly who said "Good morning" in the cutest little morning voice. Her voice had this perfect rasp, and it made you think of how nice it would be to hear it crooning at you- but that's another thing to think about, you're getting sidetracked.

You waved awkwardly, shutting your laptop after closing a few tabs, sitting up and staring at her.

"Hey."

"Did you even sleep?" She asked interrogatively, her pierced eyebrow raising. [A/N Do you guys want piercings? If so which ones? I can add them to the character! ^^]

"I- No I most definitely slept." You said, scratching your arm and grinning sheepishly. "I just... trained myself into waking up early so even when I stay up super late I wake up by 9. I keep rolling over and going back to bed... but I wake up at this time. And before you ask I don't want to take sleep medication, I want to be able to wake up on time." You rambled a bit, while Jade watched, that piercing gaze and terrifying eyebrow staying glued to you.

"That's not healthy." She said simply, "I'm guessing Mommy's not a good influence on this sleeping habit?"

"It's too early for this...." You said softly, looking away with a small blush.

"It's never too early to care about your well being, dumbass."

"I just... I don't have anyone currently... I'm sorry if I'm making this about me. We should get br- lunch and work on our project." Your voice took on a nervous tone. Now was not the time to tell your crush about stupid hidden desires and your inability to care for yourself properly.

"We will be getting lunch, my treat. You obviously didn't get enough sleep and I am not having you near a stove. The last thing we need is a sleepy l/n committing arson." She said teasingly, lightening up the mood.

You picked up on this, grateful for the way out, and grinned,

"I will so commit arson!"

A few minutes of giggling later, Jade got up from the bed, giving you a stern look. 

"And we are so talking over this at lunch."

"Oh- I thought we were done talking about-"

"We are nowhere near done talking about this. I like you, and I think you like me too. And we still need to practice that one scene. We need to be well practiced for Sikowitz' class."

"I... alright, if you say so Jade." You shuffled, getting up, going to get dressed in the bathroom without a word.

"Good." She said jokingly, getting her clothes and going to the other bathroom, grinning teasingly when she saw you swiftly close the door behind yourself.
