You woke up much later, at around two a.m. It was another night, among the plethora of others, the only thing changing is that you went to a different school. The nightmares still haunted you, reminding you of the faithful night it had happened.
The silence closed in around you as your eyes slowly fluttered, finally leaving the state of half-awake. Your eyes slowly adjusted to the dim lighting of your room as you picked up your aching, heavy body. You must've fallen asleep in your reading marathon. Heaving a deep sigh, and walking down the stairs quietly, you covered your Mom up, letting her sleep once more, before raiding the fridge for some leftovers.

Not much, it seemed, just some spaghetti. You sighed, checking if it was good, before heating it up in the microwave, stopping it before it could beep and heading back upstairs. While you waited for the leftovers to cool, you put on some basketball shorts and a long-sleeved shirt, padding back down the stairs after having folded everything and put it back away, to wear again, because clothes don't get dirty after wearing them one time unless there's a reason.

You ate relatively silently, washing your dish after you were done and walking back upstairs, making sure to leave your mother a glass of water. She works so hard, for you to barely do a damn thing for her. At least, that's what you think.

Deciding to chance a few hours of sleep, now that it was 2:30 am, and you had to leave before.... 7:55 am. You turned on some soft music, and laid in bed, waiting for the sleep to come.

[3:00 am]

Sleep still wasn't here. You were flipping constantly, trying to find a comfortable position.

[3:15 am]

You gave up on sleeping, deciding to open your phone to check your notifications before going to read on your laptop, the new number sitting in the back of your mind, before you decided to text it.
