Percy POV

The next day was relatively uneventful.

I woke up from regular nightmares. They had been toned down for a while but had gotten worse a couple of weeks before school ended.

After I woke up, I skipped breakfast. Partly because I wasn't hungry (I know, I scared myself) and partly because I didn't want to have to deal with the other inhabitants of the tower.

Because I didn't eat breakfast, I also ended up sleeping in fairly late. Once I woke, around 11:30, I took a shower and changed my clothes. I watched a few episodes of some tv show and made some plans with Nico and Will. We would go be going to a local café, Greenport Café. I wished Annabeth could come, but she said she had stuff to do.

We met up there and talked. About anything, everything, and nothing. We discussed my uncle, my living situation—both of which I did not want to talk about—and then we talked about what was going on at camp.

Apparently, Travis was visiting from college and him and Connor pulled off this big prank on the entire camp. I'm not gonna get into details on it though. Very long and extensive story.

Then we decided to go see a movie, which lasted like 3 hours. Once that was done, we went out again and got some early dinner and ice cream. Finally, I had to return back to the tower.

When I did though, all the lights were off. Although, It wasn't that dark. It was only like 7 or 8. The sun was barely setting.

Then as I walked in, a lamp clicked on revealing my uncle sitting in a chair. Disapproving parent catching teen sneaking out style. Like something from a teen movie or a Hallmark film.

Then he said, "where have you been?!" Molly Weasley style this time. He honestly screeched it.

"Out." I replied.

"Where?" He continued.

"Gods, what do you want me to relay time stamps to you or something?!" I argued as I walked to the mini fridge and fished out a coke.

"Yes, actually, that would be nice."

I rolled my eyes. "I went to a cafe for some snacks with some friends. Then we went to a movie, got dinner and ice cream."

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" He questioned *read interrogated.*

"You ask a lot of questions." I noted.

"Yeah. All of which I want answered." He said like a smartass.

"I told you this when we were in the car yesterday. I don't bother you, you don't bother me. I'm not looking to create a relationship here. I'm looking for food and a place to stay. Neither of which I need specifically from you. I'm here because the government in America sucks di-" I retorted.

"Well," he cut me off. "If you don't tell me where you're going. I guess I'll just have to make sure you aren't going anywhere." He said, looking very smug.

"What do you mean?" I growled. I was too tired for this.

"Give me your phone, you are grounded." He answered.

"What?! You can't do that! And my phone isn't yours to take!" I yelled, taking a step back and not caring if I woke up the entire floor.

"My tower, my rules. So I can very well do that." He said calmly while walking towards me.

"Fine," I said angrily, reluctantly handing over my phone. "When do I get it back?" This motherfucker. I hate aristocrats. The arrogant, officious, bullshitting-

"When I say you do." He said. I could tell he was really enjoying playing the parent card. Like he would ever be a father figure to me.

I walked to my room without another word, my face blank. I could feel his eyes on my until I turned the corner.

The next day, I decided I did want to eat breakfast. In fact, I had a very good reason to go downstairs.

I had no plan, and had next-to-no idea what I was going to do. I was sure that I was going to get my phone back. If only to give myself something to do and because I'm a petty bitch. There is a 95% chance I will crash, burn, and fail but fuck it.

I walked out of my room, confidently and calmly and not falling on my face because I forgot to tie my shoelaces.

I walked into the main kitchen space, that also has a small sitting area. I surveyed the scene.

Natasha was sitting at the island making a sandwich, Clint was sitting at the bar area watching the tv, Steve was drinking some protein shake while he lounged at an actual dining table reading the newspaper, and Tony was standing at the sink washing dishes. Oh, how easily, I could make that cup explode.

I walked over to the bar next to Natasha and asked "Can you make me one too, please?"

That sparked everyone's attention. Tony looked behind him and stopped watching the dishes, Clint tore his eyes away from the tv, Steve put down his shake and paper, and Natasha turned to me while holding her butter knife very threateningly.

"No," she said simply. "Make one yourself."

"Please." I whined, making my baby seal face. "You're already making yourself one." I usually would just make one myself but that got everyone's attention while also distracting people.

She rolled her eyes and agreed while muttering to herself about incompetent teenagers.

I smiled to myself and turned to everyone else. They all stopped watching me and returned to their activities. Tony walked by to go to the sitting area. I got up at the same time and walked over to him.

When he passed me, I purposefully knocked his shoulder with mine, reached inside his pocket, pulled my phone out, and turned around while simultaneously slipping the phone into the pockets of my black sweatpants. I just pulled off some Nancy Bobofit worthy pickpocketing.

I have absolutely no fucking idea how that worked out at all. I also am extremely fucking amazed that the Fates were so kind to me today.

I was sure Natasha saw so I flashed her a "shh" sign. I took the sandwich from her and continued making it while thanking her profusely. Because that's how my mom taught me. Females are equal beings to myself, so I should always be sure to respect them as such.

After that I inhaled my sandwich and then went back to my room. Taking time to point a very rude gesture in my uncles direction, which I'm not entirely sure he saw but I knew at least Steve saw because he gasped very loudly.

And everything went according to plan.

Fifth chapter done!! These are actually really fun! I already have a map out for the next chapter and are probably going to update tomorrow or Friday! Thanks and too-da-loo!
