Beep beep beep

"Ken! Can you get the popcorn!" You called out to the white haired male.

The movie night you had planned was already set in motion and you couldn't wait to spend some time with your sweet daisy. You've been planning this activity for a couple of days now since Kaneki wasn't around as often. This would be a perfect opportunity for you to seize. Quickly you set the drinks down and placed the movie into the slot. You plumped yourself on the couch and snugly wrapped yourself with the fuzzy [color] blanket.

"Ke-." You cut yourself off as a sudden "oof" left your lips accordingly. Before you knew it, Kaneki had already set down the popcorn and jumped onto the couch with you. He placed a chaste kiss on your cheek and innocently smiled. He acted like he did nothing in particular to you when he saw how scarlet red your cheeks had turned. He was so bold now; it was difficult for one to even believe that at one point he was a shy turtle. You tried to shrug off his action by pressing play on the remote when the Main Menu appeared on the screen; you decided that starting the movie would probably help your flushed self cool down a bit.

Half way through the movie, your eyes gradually began to close on you. You promised yourself earlier that you wouldn't fall asleep during the movie, but here you are now, doing the thing you told yourself not to do, how ironic. Kaneki noticed your struggling eyes and giggled to himself.

"[Name]-chan, why don't we just go to sleep?"

"N-no Ken! I wanted us to have a movie night! I'm not tired, see!!"

You opened your eyes really wide, well you tried too. Kaneki just laughed at your actions. He admired the fact that you wanted to have a movie night with him this badly, but the two of you could always do some other activity, one that didn't require you to try to keep your tired eyes open.

"[Name], if you want to spend some time together we could always do something else..."

He watched you stare at him intently. You leaned towards him a bit more as you sat on your legs, awaiting his idea.

"Since tomorrow I don't have to leave, why don't we go eat at Big Girl and shop a bit at the Shopping Centre."

A grin from ear to ear formed on your features. You really liked eating at Big Girl especially since they served the best burgers and it always reminded you of Kaneki when he was...when he was...when he...

"K-Kaneki Ken! We c-can't go there!" You sniffled as you recalled the old memories.

"Shh, [name]-chan, it's okay. Don't cry." Kaneki cooed the sweet words into your ear as he gently kissed your tender lips. His small smile reassured you that he was fine.

You wiped the few tears that emerged from your eyes and snuggled tightly into his embrace. Inhaling the comforting smell of his scent, you mumbled a few words into his chest.

"Pine Ken, ip oou fay so."

He gently patted your head in response and kissed your forehead before lifting you off from the couch. He carried you to your shared room, bridal style, and set you down with as much carefulness as he could.

You felt a shuffle in bed. Your eyes slowly closed as you were left with an image of a sleeping Kaneki.

*the next day*

Kaneki happily laughed at your excitement as you hurriedly pulled him over to the fast food restaurant. Your eyes sparkled with delight as you came into contact with the entrance.

The mouth-watering scent of the food engrossed your nostrils. Your stomach roared with hunger as you stepped up towards the cash register with Kaneki in hand. You ordered the food you wanted, but before you could pay, Kaneki swiftly placed the dollar bills on the counter.

"Keeen, I can pay for myself!"

"At least let me do this [name]-chan, it was my idea to take you here anyways," he smirked.

Your cheeks flushed with color as you pouted to yourself. He was right. It was his idea in the first place, but you were one to never really let others pay for you. You sighed in defeat.

"Fine," you mumbled out to him as you walked to a table near the windows.

About 15 minutes had passed and your order still hadn't arrived. Being the impatient person you are when it comes to food, you began to whine to Kaneki.

"Keeeeeeeeen, I want my foooood."

Just as you were about to whine once more, a plate of fries and a burger, followed by a soft drink, was placed in front of you. Your [color] orbs lightened up at the plate of heaven. You took a huge bite of the burger and smiled in satisfaction. Kaneki laughed at your childish act. After you gulped down the bite, you started at the white haired male with confusion.

"What's so funny Ken?"

"You're so cute [name]-chan,~" he chuckled lightly.

Your cheeks turned a cherry red at the mention of cute.

"K-ken-chan, w-we should do th-this more often...," you shyly spoke out as you took a sip from your beverage.

"I'd like that [name]-chan."

Afterwards:

Kaneki: [name]-chan, you have some ketchup on your cheek.

Reader-san: Eeeeh!? Where?? (wipes entire face except for that one spot)

Kaneki: (leans in really close) Right here (licks cheek)

Reader-san: K-k-k-k-KAnEKi KUn
