"Hey, you're moving around." she cheered as I walked into the living to be greeted by her warming smile.

I waved back, unable to hold a smile back.

She had two bags on her. One was filled with food and the other was clothes for me.

"I didn't know your sizes so I just guessed. I hope you don't mind oversized clothing."

"Not at all." I replied. I love oversized clothing and I don't care if the sleeves are longer than my arms.

She smiled before her smile disappeared seconds after "I also got that pregnancy test." she pulled it out of the bag with my new clothes in. We both sighed when looking at it before she stood up and took me to the bathroom.

"So how do I use it?" I asked. That sounded like a stupid question.

"All you have to do is urinate on the absorbent window." she said like I knew what she was on about.

I didn't respond as I was so confused.

We made it to the bathroom and she took it out of the packaging.

"Right here is the absorbent window," she pointed to the tip of the pregnancy test "Just stick that under your urine stream and that should pick it up. After some waiting, we'll come back and see if you're pregnant or not." she then removes the cap to expose the absorbent window.

"Okay." I replied as I started dancing for the toilet. Coincidental.

She laughed before passing it to me and going downstairs with the packaging in hand. I closed the door and did my business.

It took me a couple of minutes but I finally was finished. I left the pregnancy test on top of the toilet as I then washed my hands and went back downstairs.

Claire was waiting for me on the sofa with a cup of water in her hands "Done?"

I nodded, sighing afterwards before cracking my fingers.

I sat next to her on the sofa, curling up and then crying.

Claire put the cup down on the table beside her before wrapping her arms around me "It's okay, hun," she started "I understand there's a lot going on but it will get easier."

I couldn't wrap my arms around her as she trapped them to keep them holding my legs so I just cried into her shoulder.

She kept telling me comforting and reassuring words for around three hours. Soon my tears dried up and we ended up laughing at random conversations and jokes.

"So why don't you tell me more about your past and the death of your parents?" Claire suddenly questioned, breaking the nice, calming atmosphere that there once was.

I sighed loudly before nodding "Can you get me a glass of water first?" I asked.

"Of course." and soon, she came back with a drink of water for me. She then sits back in her spot and grabbed her cup of water that was already half empty.

"Okay," I paused as I took a deep breath "Six years ago was when I killed my parents. The reason why will make more sense. So when I was five, I discovered my fire powers and kept them away from my parents because I was scared on what they would do," that shocked Claire as she expected me to have my powers from being experimented on but isn't the case at all "I made my first, and probably last friend through my parents. His name was Connor Kry. Connor was the only one that knew about my powers, not even the school knew about them. We grew up together from when we first met; when we were five. We were tiny rebels, causing trouble and getting into trouble a lot. His parents cared just as much as mine did, but we didn't care and that's all that mattered. We were like this for five years but because of our young age, we couldn't get arrested. Our parents kept getting fines to pay though. My parents always yelled at me. At points they'd even hurt me if they were expensive fines. A day after I turned ten, I came home from school to my mum holding a dagger to Connor's neck, dad being beside her," I teared up and took a sip of my water before swallowing loudly "They asked me if I had something to tell them. I was confused and shook my head. My dad then said 'You're hiding your powers from us.' I asked how they found out. They found out through Connor. He promised me he wouldn't tell them. Until he said 'They said they'd kill me if I didn't tell them. They were suspicious about the burning buildings caused from our ruckus.' at that point, he was crying in fear of dying. I took one step closer to them and mum slit his throat," I took another sip of water, my eyes stinging from all the tears, I couldn't even look at Claire anymore "I felt this fury, anger, depression, everything crawl within me and, in a matter of seconds, our house was burnt down. And their bodies were burnt corpses, burnt to the point of crumbling to ashes. I walked away from that house with an evil grin on my face, knowing justice was served for the only friend I ever had. I then told his parents what happened. They thought I was a monster and the reason for his death so they stabbed my stomach deep and pushed me away. I still yearn for justice by killing his parents. I didn't then because I had just lost him. My powers changed on that same day, they used to be full fire; now it's half fire, half blue fire. The meaning of the blue fire though is healing. So I healed my stab wound and I lived on the streets ever since. I was bullied all through high school and then," I paused "Today occurred," I shrugged "That's what happened. No one crosses between me because I'm not afraid to hurt or even kill." I moved away from Claire before gulping down the water.

She stared at me, blinking furiously, with tears streaming down her face. She was stunned, she didn't know what to do and I don't blame her.

I finished my cup and slid myself back over to her before resting my head against her arm. She put her cup back down on the table, grabbing my empty one from my sweaty hand and placing it next to her's, before then hugging me tightly. I wrapped my arms around her and just cried.
