Avy selected a tight black mini skirt, with a black corset top to match. Pairing her fit with black sparkly heels. She threw her hair in a ponytail and did her makeup beautifully. Foundation, concealer, lipstick, eyeliner, the whole spiel. She was beautiful.

She picked out a tight black dress for me. It was short on one side and got longer as it went to the other side. The short side stopped right at mid thigh and the long side went down to my calf. It was flattering and form fitting. Curves I didn't know I had were visible. My hair was put half up half down and I left my face natural with no makeup. I wore my usual white air forces.

I wasn't against make up. I just didn't look like myself anymore when Avy did mine. She looks good, but nothing like how the real Avy looks. Plus make up was annoying to take off. So I always go without it.

"The shoes don't match." Avy pointed out.

"What if I need to run from someone, or beat the shit out of them? How am I supposed to do that in those?" I say, pointing to her feet.

"Touché." She smiles grabbing her bag and walking out the room.

Caden is still sat on the couch watching something on his phone when he looks up at us. His eyes scan us, though linger on Avy. Caughtcha bitch.

"You look great." He speaks, clearing his throat. It was silent.

"Thank you, she worked very hard." I reply for her, smiling at him. His smiles back at me before standing and gesturing toward the door.

"Shall we?"

"We shall." I answer, linking my arm with Avyanna's and slapping Caden on the back.

Arriving at the party, there were lights on in the house, loud music and people everywhere, spilling out the door onto the front lawn.

"Okay, we need to find the other guys before anything else." I say to Avy, then turn to look at Caden who was looking at his phone.

"Huh?" Caden looks up.

"Okay great, let's go." Avy smirks while opening her door. After Avy gets out I turn to Caden.

"Let her have this." I say, "but watch out for her."

"Always. What do I look like?" Caden smirks solemnly.

He's not even trying to hide it..

We walk up to the two story house and follow through the door. The living room and halls are crowded, sweaty bodies brushing against each other everywhere. Suddenly I'm feeling very self aware and maybe a little claustrophobic. Shouting to Avy and I, Caden directs us to head to the kitchen. Holding the back of Caden's collar, we weave through the crowd. Avy was holding onto my arm for dear life.

Finally arriving we go through a swinging door that slightly dulled the sound of the music. Caden relaxes a bit and leans on the counter crossing his arms, while Avyanna calls the boys.

"You know, don't you?" Caden whispers.

"Whatever do you mean?" I whisper back in a slight British accent.

Chuckling he responds, "How I feel..." a small pause, "about her." We both look over to her. Avy's hand is on her phone and the other is plugging her ear. Her face is slightly scrunched, and her eyebrows are drawn together.

"It's hard to tell, but I noticed." I look back at him, his gaze remains on her. "Tell her." I say finally. His eyes snap to mine.

"No. I can't do that. Not to her." He says seriously. "I'm not a good boyfriend. I can't-" He sighs. Caden's frustrated.

"-you can't communicate how you feel." I finish for him, "I know. But, you could tell her that. And try to work on it, together. Doesn't seeing her with other guys piss you off?"

"Yes, of course it does but-"

"So tell her." There was a long pause after that. He just studied my face, glancing at Avy every once in awhile. He finally sighed in defeat and looked down at his shoes.

"I can't. She needs to be happy. She is happier. That matters more to me than anything." He says looking back up to me, sadly smiling.

"Caden.." I start to say before Avy heads back our way.

"They piss me off. So stupid, can't even take directions properly." She huffs, "After much explaining, they'll be here in a bit."

"Alright sweet." Caden says. Suddenly it's awkward again. Shit. Every time I try to avoid it, it creeps up on me. Damn awkwardness.

A minute later Ottie opens the swinging door wearing a brown sweatshirt and jeans. "Hey." We all greet, waiting for the other two.

"Nice outfit." Caden mocks.

"Shut the hell up, you're wearing the same thing as earlier." Ottie retorts, causing us all to laugh. As the boys were bickering, Avy started chatting up a blonde haired, brown eyed boy. He was kinda lanky, and he wore glasses.

Spotting them too, Caden and I make eye contact, and he just smiles at me. Then continues on bickering. As I was making my way over to Ottie and Caden, Saige and Winslow entered the room. They all greeted each other and it was my turn to say hi.

"You look great." Winslow says, smirking. He brings me into a hug and he spins me around.

"Just great, huh?" I say sarcastically.

"I mean- more than great you look awesome." He sputters making me laugh. He is always so serious.

"I was joking, thank you." I say to him. Smiling he turns to talk to Caden. Allowing me to say hey to Saige. Turning around I see he already was looking at me.

"Why hello fellow." I fake a British accent again, " How swell you look this evening." I say jokingly. He is just looking at me.

"Not so bad yourself Indie." He also uses a british accent, "I didn't expect this." He says, gesturing to my dress.

"Oh, yeah. Avy insisted. Awesome right?" I say, quoting Winslow.

"More than that. You look like a flower."

"A flower?" I question, what does that mean?

"Yeah. Not like a rose or anything. But like, wildflowers."

"Calling me wild huh?"

"In a good way. Natural, beautiful. A sign of new life and freedom." He finishes, "That's what you are."

"Well okay Shakespeare, I will write that down." I smile, "and you look like a lawyer."

"A lawyer?"

"Yes, with your black button down and slacks." I gesture to his outfit.

"Wow, so poetic, let me write that down." He says rolling his eyes. We both start laughing before Winslow came up to me.

"Wanna dance love?" He asks. I cringe a bit when he calls me that. He says it with no meaning behind it, like he is obligated to call me that because he is my boyfriend. But I smile regardless.

"Of course, anyone else?" I look around. Caden and Avy shoot up and prepare to dance.

"Alright. Let's get this party started then."
