6 awoke in a distorted version of the safe zone, he rises, confused of where he is.

Taking a step forward a body rose from the ground, it's eyes were cut, X's covered them, the body was the same one of the agent he had to put down.

He tried to stable himself, looking away from the body, it grabbed his ankle, causing him to panic, tripping himself, he quickly crawled away from the body as it stared at him.

The X's covering the eyes began bleeding, at the same time, 6's eyes began crying blood, no matter how many times he wiped them, more blood poured out.

6 turned around to the exit of the safezone, the ground outside was littered with bodies, all of agents he watched die, or had to kill himself.

All of them had the same X's that also pooled blood, all blaming 6.

The blood that teared from 6 only pooled faster, his mind was clouded with all the memories, the bodies piled up, making a hill, atop, was chell.

In a cold sweat, chell had shook him awake, he tried desperately to calm himself to no avail.

Chell tried to comfort 6, slowly bringing him back to his side, laying his head on her chest, holding him, reassuring him he'll be okay, she's here for him, nothing will happen to them.

6 held chell in a way that showed how he was really afraid, desperate, he tried to speak but it just came out as unintelligible whimpers and noises.

She knows these aren't just nightmares, she can't be cheap and say the usual "it was a nightmare"

It's more than that for him, and chell will support him every time it happens.

Chell pulls 6 close, continuing to say words a reassurance, 6 holds chell closer, burying his head into her, cowering.

Seeing such a man, so sure he will protect everyone, cowering from a nightmare is sad, chell feels the most guilt, knowing he must fear for her aswell, but will always continue to keep him safe from himself.
