Bella Swan. That's who Edward was infatuated with. The girl who he had to leave town because of. She had been here a week, and already had Edward Cullen's attention. Not that Kelsie even knew that, all she knew was that Edward had been a little off lately. The Cullen boy returned to school a couple days ago, finally talking to the Swan girl. And, unfortunately, saving her from being crushed by a van.

Edward had been spending a lot of time with the Swan girl, causing Kelsie to train with Jasper and Alice most of the time. Jasper had helped her master her invisibility, she just needed to figure out how to block out everyone's thoughts. That was the one thing Kelsie didn't want; the ability to read peoples minds. She was fine with being able to move objects, or change however someone was feeling, but she felt like it was invading; being able to see their thoughts.

"Do you think Edward will ever introduce us to her?" Kelsie asked Emmett as the two walked through the woods.

"Who, Bella? Probably, if things get serious. I just hope he plans on turning her eventually. A vampire dating a human isn't a good mix." the Cullen boy laughed, jumping over a rock.

"Well, I hope I get to meet her. Jacob wanted me to go with him when he went over there, but I was studying."

The Cullen family knew very well who Kelsie's friends were. How they would all change eventually. Even her own brother. Carlisle was actually curious to see if Kelsie herself would get the gene, especially since she was of Quileute descent.

The two made their way through the woods, heading back to the Cullen residence. Kelsie had to go home soon, but she was hoping to see Edward before she left. He had spending most of his time Bella, so Kelsie rarely saw him anymore.

When they arrived, Kelsie immediately went to the garage. Of course, the silver Volvo was nowhere to be found.

"Beach today! You coming Kels?" Embry's voice sounded as he walked into the Lahote home. The girl was laying upside down om the couch, watching an episode of Friends. It was a Friday, which meant beach day for the small friend group.

"Of course, who's all going today?" It was a bit rainy, but they never minded.

"Probably just us, Sam, and Jake." Embry said, taking a seat beside her. "Paul and Jared are too busy with school work, and Quil's grounded."

Flipping off the couch, Kelsie got up, heading to her room to grab a hoodie. She took the first one she saw; a black and grey oversized hoodie from her bed. It was most likely one of the boys' but she didn't care. She slipped the hoodie over her head, grabbing Embry's hand, and pulling him out the front door. The duo made their way to Jacob's house, where they usually met the rest of their friends.

The group of four walked the short distance to First Beach. Usually it was empty, today however, there was a small group of friends gathered by a van. Only one, Jacob had recognized.

"Bella!" Jacob called out to her, stuffing his hands in his pockets. Sam and Embry followed closely, Kelsie staying behind a bit. The hybrid couldn't smell Bella's blood. She couldn't read her thoughts either, and that worried her.

The two spoke for a bit, Bella introducing Jacob to her friends. Kelsie could feel Bella's eyes on her, however the Quileute girl refused to look up. After a while, she felt a familiar presence next to her. She didn't have to look to know it was Embry. The boy had a distinct smell; vanilla and bonfires.

"You okay?" Embry asked, causing the girl to look at him. Kelsie nodded, noticing that Bella and Jacob had walked down the beach a bit.

"Yeah, sorry. Just, got distracted I guess." With a smile, Kelsie took off, jumping on Sam's back. Embry followed, tackling the two into the sand.

Despite Jacob spending his time with Bella Swan, the three had a great time at the beach. They messed aeound in the sand, and pushed each other into the water; which was freezing, but they didn't care. All that mattered was that they got to be together. Although Kelsie got a feeling this would be the last time they would get to do that. Sam felt different, warmer than usual. Things were changing, and Kelsie didn't undertand why.
